Congratulations @mflcmv . Indeed a remarkable milestone achieved for Maldives. Several years of dedicated hard work bears the fruit. Being accredited to @theGCF shows that MFLC meets internationally accepted and reputable standards.
This also advances the government’s effort to open climate finance and other resources to the private sector. It opens a new door to bring climate finance to our shores, with private sector blended finance and new financing models.
We look forward to work with MFLC. We also look forward for new institutions to join this accreditation effort.

The Ministry is pleased to congratulate the Maldives Finance Leasing Company on its accreditation to the Green Climate Fund as a national direct access entity, as they celebrate 25 years of service today.
By receiving GCF Board approval for its accreditation application, MFLC is now the first-ever direct access entity of the Maldives to a multilateral climate fund.
The Ministry looks forward to working together to enhance access to climate finance to deliver our climate ambitions.
