Super excited to have worked with the MapKit team on the incredible new SwiftUI overlay for MapKit. Check out the awesome session by my colleague, Jeff, about all the work we did! The new overlay feels like a true extension of SwiftUI’s DSL ❤️ developer.apple.com/wwdc23/1…

For #WWDC23, @dillwanner and I gave a talk on how we’ve been using it to design Apple Maps, and how you can do the same!

“Design with SwiftUI” is a session we made *specifically* for designers.
In this video, @philipcdavis and I cover how SwiftUI functions as a design tool, and share real examples from our work on the new Maps app in watchOS 10.
Enjoy! #WWDC23

i’m in a code review with elon musk. ive got the CSS for neopets.com on 3 monitors. my browser’s in dark mode so it looks cool. “this part?” he asks, pointing to code for the Giant Omelette. “caches tweets in the mainframe cyberhex,” i say. he nods. “as i suspected”
💯 The best teams run on a flywheel of people pushing and looking out for each other.

I was once part of a layoff, vowed never to be part of one again, this happens more often than it should. You can’t manage talent with a spreadsheet! This is what happens when you have dumb performance measurements and/or disengaged managers… 🤦🏻♂️
CONFIRMED: Twitter is now asking some fired workers to please come back
- Some were laid off by mistake
- Some were let go before management realized their experience is needed to build new features Elon Musk is planning
