I made my own launch video in plain TypeScript. No After Effects. No animation libraries. No stock music. Every frame is a function of time, every cut lands on the beat, and the soundtrack is synthesized in the browser with the Web Audio API.

Agent mistake that keeps showing up: it makes the failing test pass by editing the test. Fix: tell it the tests are read-only. Tests are the spec. The code is what's allowed to change.

the pull of @marclou trying to vibe code his own newsletter and ditch @beehiiv seems like produced more damage than good indie hacking world is changing

That’s why I’ll never share my SaaS to the founders community Sell to people who barely use ChatGPT
😅 @marclou inspired me by churning from Beehiiv to vibe-code his own newsletter tool so when DataFast hit me with an upgrade popup yesterday, I pulled a Marc on Marc 😭 moved all 23 sites to my own Hetzner server in one morning: 🧰 backfilled 3.6M visitors + 7,600 Stripe/Polar payments across 23 sites 🚀 12x–225x faster queries (benchmarked from 1,152ms → 92ms) 📊 ripped out Recharts for native SVG (bundle 536kB → 96kB) 🔌 custom Stripe, Polar, GSC & ClickHouse connectors 🤖 direct MCP access for my coding agents 🇪🇺 100% first-party on EU Hetzner (no 3rd-party sub-processors, no GDPR headaches, no adblockers) 💸 $0/mo, unlimited events honestly it's just more responsible to self-host your analytics anyway, you own the raw visitor + payment data instead of leaking it to a 3rd party and can ensure you fix all the latest security dependency issues and your Stripe keys don't leak and you can make improvements for your specific stack he was right: once you have a server and an agent, you don't click "upgrade plan" anymore SaaS-pocalypse

Harness tip: put your rules in the project file, not the prompt. "Never touch migrations" belongs in the repo once, not in your head every session.

The AI-era skill that holds up: writing a clear spec. If a stranger or an agent can build the right thing from your description on the first try, you're ahead of most people.

If you're job hunting: a live project people can click beats a resume bullet. Someone can open it in ten seconds. They can't open a bullet point. Keep shipping while you apply.

8 years of shipping for clients, 2 years shipping solo. Solo taught me more about what people want. Nobody hands you a spec when you're the only one in the room.

An agent's memory can be a folder of markdown files it reads at the start of every session. What you tried, what failed, what you decided. You don't need a fancy app. Plain files work.

SEO tells you how Google ranks you. It doesn't tell you how an AI agent reads your product. Scope shows what agents compare, where they lose confidence and why they pick a competitor. Then it fixes it once you approve. tryscope.com/demo

Most shipping work is invisible when it works. A faster page, a fixed edge case, a form that no longer breaks. Nobody notices. That's the job.
