π¨ THE RISE AND FALL OF ICE OPEN NETWORK.
Do you remember when $ICE was everyone's favourite?
Millions were mining it. Everyone was talking about its potential. The vision was HUGE, and people genuinely believed they were part of something big.
But look at where we are now. π«£
Let's talk about what happened.
ICE built a massive community with mobile mining. Then came the mainnet, the $ICE β $ION transition, Online+, monetization, Frostbite, the meme coin launchpad, Tokenized Communities...
So many things were promised.
But how many times did we hear "SOON"?
How many timelines changed?
How many times did people hear "final polish" and start waiting all over again?
At some point, you have to ask yourself: Was the problem really development, or was it the habit of promising more than could be delivered?
And the community wasn't innocent either.
Whenever someone questioned the delays, others rushed to defend the team. Criticism became FUD. Asking for accountability became a lack of belief.
Seriously, since when did supporting a project mean accepting everything without questions?
Then came the token collapse.
In April 2026, the CEO revealed over $18M in historical spending and operating costs of around $400K per month, while attributing the crisis to a service provider's exit and associated token sales.
Now think about it.
Millions of community members. Years of development. A massive vision.
Yet the project was facing a serious financial crisis.
I'm not saying the entire vision was fake. I'm saying a vision means nothing if execution can't keep up with it.
Every project has a timeline. but do ION even has a timeline??
Where is $ION Memepad?
Where is $SNIFF? Why did they delete the post after rugpul?
Where is $SNOW?
Where is Frostbite?
Where is Online+?
Where is the actual full mainnet?
Where is $ION integration on CEX?
Where are the creators?
Where are the ambassadors?
Where are the real answers to valid questions?
Where is the respect for community TIME?
Where is the accountability??
The team made promises. The community believed. Critics asked questions. And too often, those critics were treated like enemies.
That's the part people need to remember.
Because a project doesn't fall apart overnight. Sometimes, trust disappears slowly, one broken expectation at a time.
ICE had the community. ION had the opportunity. But did they deliver what people were led to expect?
Or did everyone spend too long believing that everything was just around the corner?
What's your honest opinion? π

Tomorrow (Oct 30th) at 7PM EST, I will be hosting a live X Spaces conversation with Tom Alaerts.ποΈ
For years, ISO 20022 and digital assets have been misunderstood in this space.
Tomorrow we go through it carefully, live, with one of the men who helped write the standard.π₯
Tom Alaerts spent 27 years (1998 - January 2026) at SWIFT. He helped design the ISO 20022 standards, market practices and APIs the global financial industry works on today. π
His specialty is ISO and digital assets.ππ¨
Inside SWIFT, he worked on updating the securities standards to handle digital assets. His message templates were used by HSBC and Ant in blockchain settlement tests. The Reserve Bank of Australia and Northern Trust used them in theirs.π¦
He later created pacs.crypto. It is a free and open framework that connects ISO 20022 payment messages directly to blockchain transactions. Parts of it are now entering the official standards process.π
My own research has followed this work closely. I covered the launch of pacs.crypto in June, and I have documented the ISO 20022 build out for years. This conversation is where that research leads.πβοΈ
Tomorrow, we will clear up the connection between ISO 20022 and digital assets in plain terms.π―
And for the first time, he is publicly discussing agentic payments and their connection to ISO 20022 and digital assets.β
Save your spot belowπ¨
Iβm always happy to see people supporting crypto projects. However, Iβve noticed that Caroline D. Pham often shares Ripple selfies and photos, rather than content related to MoonPay. Is this simply a coincidence, or is there something more behind it? π
Well Well Well!
Launched in 2012, the XRP Ledger was designed to address a fundamental challenge in finance: transferring value reliably without the delays and costs of traditional payment infrastructure.
Over the years, XRPL has evolved far beyond a payment network. Its native decentralized exchange allows assets issued on the network to be traded directly within its infrastructure, creating a foundation for financial applications that leverage the protocol's native capabilities.
This becomes particularly important as financial instruments move onchain. Tokenized securities, credit products and other real-world assets need more than a digital representation. They require infrastructure that supports the entire lifecycle of an asset, from issuance and trading to the settlement of obligations between counterparties.
In traditional markets, these functions are distributed across multiple intermediaries, each responsible for a different stage of the process. Moving assets onchain creates an opportunity to rethink how these layers interact and how capital can be deployed more efficiently across financial operations.
This is where clearing becomes essential. Rather than treating each trade in isolation, clearing consolidates obligations between counterparties, allowing net balances to be determined before final settlement.
Yellow Clearnet brings this mechanism to digital markets through state channels, enabling counterparties to trade offchain in real time while retaining the ability to settle the resulting obligations. The objective is to combine trading speed with more efficient management of financial obligations.
Bringing together XRPL's capabilities and Yellow Clearnet's clearing infrastructure opens the door to exploring new ways of structuring onchain financial markets. XRPL provides a native environment for asset issuance, trading and settlement, while Clearnet could complement this type of infrastructure by coordinating the obligations generated by trading between counterparties.
The opportunity goes beyond making financial operations faster or cheaper. It is about building markets where digital assets can circulate more freely, counterparties can deploy capital more efficiently, and new financial applications can grow on top of reliable settlement infrastructure.
The next stage of tokenized finance will not be defined solely by the number of assets issued, but by the ability to turn those assets into useful, tradable instruments integrated into active financial markets.
EXACTLY POV! @ice_blockchain @ice_z3us SCAMMER!
Please report them. People have lost millions of dollar. #ION #ICEOPENNETWORK
π¨ THE BLOCK SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS. OR DOES IT?
@ice_blockchain, WHY DID YOU BLOCK ME? π
Was I wrong to question the delays?
Was I wrong to demand transparency?
Was I wrong to ask for accountability?
You didn't disappoint me today. YOU DISAPPOINTED ME A LONG TIME AGO.

Thank you, dear @ice_z3us. After losing $3,000 in #IceOpenNetwork, Iβve finally been blocked by Zeus.
@Bitcoinhabebe, you received your money back from the team, but many people are still suffering losses.

#Zeus (@ice_z3us), owner of @ice_blockchain, is being called out for alleged deception and dishonesty.
If millions of dollars have been lost by investors, the community deserves answers, transparency, and accountability.
Attention @ice_blockchain Community,
We are formally calling on @TeamKhabib to address critical concerns regarding their recent project involvement.
We request that the @ice_blockchain leadership utilize its platform to bring transparency to this matter and demand accountability from the parties involved. Our community stands firmly against unethical practices and expects a clear, fact-based response regarding these actions.
