Inexcusably cruel for DOGE to cut federal workers who run our nations organ transplant system. Patients rely on this for a chance at life. DOGE is killing patients.

While it is appropriate to identify inefficiencies in government, the weekend terminations across HHS will negatively affect the lives of kidney patients. NKF is deeply concerned about these actions, which appear to be haphazard and indiscriminate kidney.org/press-room/nkf-st…

Relatives, loved ones, friends and even individuals who wish to remain anonymous often serve as living donors to spare a patient a long and uncertain wait. In 2023, more than 6,900 transplants were made possible by living donors.
