Yes, @WestminsterWAG , I ‘ve cancelled my direct debit of @Telegraph for this reason, including the reported cancellation of the brilliant @AllisonPearson as well as @LiamHalligan. Allison has been *the* most important columnist and the writer who so piercingly articulates the views of people like me. She has been the sensible and light-the-way voice in the dark times we are going through. @AllisonPearson , we need you now more than ever, voicing what the silent majority think and feel. I’ll try to follow your writing wherever you land. And thank you for fighting the good fight.

EXC: Britain has sent over 100k conviction alerts to EU member states since 2025. Roughly 165 a day in 2025. Yet the PM wants to make it harder to deport European criminals as part of his EU reset... centreformigrationcontrol.co…

For those of us (of a certain age) who first fell in love with Kristin Scott Thomas in ‘Four Weddings’ it’s been difficult to watch her being abused by the John Lewis children. My alternative ending has her sodding off to the Caribbean on her own and meeting a charming silver haired fox (yes, I am in the story) and spending Xmas lunch on the beach with him.

More than half were dependent relatives? So for a low-wage worker (BTW, are the care assistants expected to hold NVQ equivalent?), we also have to accept a person who will need to be housed? Not a great deal for UK, is it?

The Red Wall and the coastal areas in the UK are as economically unequal as East & West Germany was in 1990 & it would cost & take the same level of commitment in levelling up the UK as it did the reunification of Germany. So if Andy Burnham believes he'll get away with this he's deluded.

Labour say their priority is getting nearly 1 million young people into good jobs …. putting legislation in place so that businesses won’t be able to afford them. Oh and agreeing to 80,000 young people from Europe coming over to fight for the same jobs. Brilliant 🤡

The EU Reset "reduce GDP by £73 billion" I have a copy. It is a complete betrayal - and it's already agreed! (Only 2 dates need filling in and they need to decide if it is signed or concluded). 20th November is pure theatre - where Labour sell out our country.
Shanker Singham and Douglas McWilliams have been working to try to establish the cost to the UK of EU reset. We estimate that long run it will reduce GDP by £73 billion. Just after a budget including stealth taxes and a rise in the minimum wage reducing GDP by £33 billion in total. For details see: growth-commission.com/2026/1…

Utter migrant madness. Unsustainable. Long-term liabilities on the British people who didn’t vote for this:
Of the more than 760,000 people who came to Britain on the Health & Care visa, more than 470,000 were relatives. They will now all be allowed to stay in Britain. Forever. While claiming benefits, council housing, student loans, and more. mattgoodwin.org/p/shabana-ma…

The brave, capable, hardworking British taxpayers, the lions and providers of this country, are led by donkeys……they are totally incompetent and foolish leaders. Hee-haw.
Frivolous fools playing steel drums while Britons are struggling with brutal energy bills caused by frivolous fools. 👇🤡

No one has taken responsibility for the horrendous way in which Henry Nowak was treated by Hampshire Police. That’s why, with @colinsutton , a former Detective Chief Inspector and our Police and Crime Spokesman, I’m calling on Hampshire’s Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner to resign. I also have concerns about the government’s own review: it is being led by a former Conservative Minister to look into the actions of a Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner. The perception of bias is just as bad as actual bias. We need impartiality, transparency and accountability.

You couldn’t make it up No 563:
Annnd … this is what happens when your government is economically illiterate, run by a civil service who refuses to do anything different … Labour promised to abolish the quango NHS England to save taxpayers money. Er… but there’s a teeny weeny problem… Some NHS England managers earn up to £45,000 MORE than civil servants doing similar level jobs…. So rather than transferring everyone into the Department of Health, Labour is creating… wait for it… A NEW QUANGO to replace the OLD QUANGO! (I shit you not) 3,000 +/- regional staff will move into this new quango (replacing the old quango) And this brilliant advice came from Deloitte and cost taxpayers £7.94 MILLION 🤡

My Dad is an army veteran who raises a lot of money for veterans. He arrived today to tell me all his veterans mates (in several Facebook book groups) are all singing @PatrickChristys praises for raising such a phenomenal amount of money. Bravo 👏🏽

This is Naveed Aktar who has just been granted Cat D prison and day release to help him settle back into the community. He is the brother of the man who owned the "party house" that was used to abuse me in for years and for men from across the Country to come and abuse me and others. He was convicted of 2 counts of rape and given 17 years in 2019. He was also caught smuggling drugs into prison through the crown court toilets during the trial and given extra time. He has served just a fraction of these sentences and is soon going to back back in society.

The revelations about how Henry Nowak’s family were treated are just horrific. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary initially falsely suggested to them that Henry was the aggressor - rather than his murderer, Vickrum. They also told the family that officers immediately administered first aid to Henry. They only later admitted Henry was first handcuffed and arrested. Perhaps most appallingly, the IOPC told the family in April there were "no concerns identified" about how officers acted that night. I have spoken to medics who say handcuffing Henry behind his back would have worsened the bleeding. This family has been put through hell. My thoughts remain firmly with them.
