the arena and tournaments being the main source of mysteriano's revenue while the amusement park that mc was most excited for and wanted to see visitors enjoy is empty (iirc) says so much.
mc wanting to use mysteriano to bring people happiness but they just see a way to partake in violence with no real-life consequences. her lying to herself and thinking that they'd enjoy other stories/ features after they blew off steam, but no one is paying for fireworks. ๐

Also, Iโm seeing an increasing number of posts suggesting that joy is somehow antithetical to revolution.
I am speaking to my people, and my people alone, when I say this: joy has ALWAYS been integral to our survival as Black Americans. It is part of our ancestral inheritance.

just an fyi, rafayel, zayne, and xavierโs orbit trials were raised to 210 before their affinity caps were increased to 250. if you didnโt know, each level you clear in orbit trials gives you 300 affinity. if sylus had been given the proper orbit trial levels, we would be able to gain an additional 9,000 affinity, which is equivalent to 3 levels. it might not seem like a massive amount, but itโs still a substantial way to gain affinity, especially when a fully ranked and leveled-up card only gives you 6,790 affinity.
โbut why should they give him the same orbit trial levels if he was released 6 months after them?โ
caleb was released 6 months after sylus, yet they both have the exact same orbit trial level (180) despite having different affinity caps (250 vs 220). if infold can raise calebโs orbit trials to match sylusโs, why canโt they do the same for sylus in relation to the og3?

Thereโs a difference between finding it funny because the LIs might look a little out of place to some wearing these outfits for the practice (which Iโd argue is part of the point theyโre making, showing how Qigong can be incorporated into everyday life) and ridiculing the movements themselves.
Maybe Iโm being too woke for some, but a lot of the reactions are coming across as (un)intentionally culturally dismissive. Considering how casually Sinophobia can manifest in these spaces, I really think some people should maybe reflect on their comments (yes, even if itโs unintentional).
