This is like 90% of the people who post about their software factory or publish some limited use case library that is and will remain dead.
There’s 100% a kind of mania you can get into with coding agents, where it feels like you’re getting a lot done and working all the time but nothing is really happening. I think it's often a form of avoidance of something else in life.

This is so low and dumb. Instead of violence against a guy who can’t do much about the situation he’s been put in, the state should sanction the responsible firms.

Germany does not have a Fourth Estate. There is no journalism but instead only manufacturing of consent for the elite consensus.

It is amazing that by sheer accident of geography that all the people with three brain cells everywhere in Amsterdam have a higher quality of life than the average resident of Berlin-Grunewald.

Amsterdam is chaos which is due to a space conflict that can’t be solved easily but the least that can be done is to remove cars and reclaim the space that’s wasted on them.

The CDU should be treated as if it’s a subsidiary party of the AfD right now (because it is).
If everyone is done talking about der Spiegel’s completely unprofessional and unethical article about Elif Eralp, there was an election today for Vice President of the Berlin House of Representatives, and the AfD candidate received 40 votes, even though his group has only 29 members. Apparently, almost half of the CDU voted for the AfD

Super jarring to see lots of road works in Amsterdam where people are working. You never see that in Berlin.

Today in Germany can’t run a high speed rail network: our ICE will stop at Luwigslust (pop 11,778). Of course you need density to run a network which is an opportunity: Threaten to take away the ICE train station unless the city plans and approves 10’000 units of housing.

People living in a country need to be able to build their own housing without relying on predatory capital operations from abroad. Foreign investment is nice for speculative luxury housing and commercial real estate but for basic residences not so much.
Good Morning from Germany, where one of Europe’s biggest landlords calls the country “uninvestable.” Heimstaden is withholding fresh capital over Berlin’s expropriation plans. It owns 20,000 apartments in the city worth ~€5bn and estimates a potential €1bn loss. Its hybrid bond has plunged from ~98 cents in August to 82.5. The irony: a policy meant to tackle the housing shortage risks driving away investment without building a single new home. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Actually not a bad question. The ridiculously gendered nature of language and culture in the Middle East is one of its main problems.

Anybody know when the Berlin BVV governments will be formed? Is there any reason to wait? Does anybody even care one bit about this?

The Berlin school of my kids hasn't had a functioning sports hall for years now and it's unclear if it will ever have one. Kids in Germany should be protesting as well.

I have no horse in this race at all but there’s absolutely nothing stopping every PHP developer to start writing everything in Go. It takes ten minutes to learn and then this entire clusterfuck can be like a bad dream.

There's nothing in PHP that says we won't have 10 more of these coming out in the next years.
this PHP vulnerability is just the start. get ready

> How can we […] backport fixes to older versions that no longer receive security updates? Is the company that has a magical code generation tool really asking how it can backport a fix?
Over the past two months, we have been leading a coalition to mitigate one of the most severe bugs in open source software found in recent memory, php2shell, found as part of our Patch the Planet initiative.
