Jerry Seinfeld says worrying about your problems is a complete waste of time and brainpower
"One of his number one things is: if you can’t control it, don’t bother thinking about it"
"Somebody gave me this book a couple years ago, Meditations, which has nothing to do with meditation. This is just stuff he jotted down when he was Emperor of Rome, 150 AD. It's the most brilliant philosophical looking at life"
"You’re taking energy, your brain, away from things you can control. You can control your act"
"On the night of the show, whatever didn’t sell or whatever the problems are, the sound, you’re tired... it’s a waste of time. There’s no point in thinking too much about it"
"Your success in life: think about what I can do today that’s important for me in my life. That’s where you should be focusing. That’s Marcus Aurelius"

We are the happiest and the healthiest when we are loving and serving other people. Make a point to understand how important loving, serving relationships are, and how important it is to be in community with one another.

“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.”
- Edgar Allan Poe, Letter to George W. Eveleth
Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849) was an American poet, author, and literary critic whose dark imagination left a lasting mark on American literature. Born in Boston and orphaned before he was three, Poe was taken in by the Allan family of Richmond, Virginia. He briefly attended the University of Virginia and later West Point, but financial struggles and conflicts with his foster father ended his formal education and contributed to years of hardship.
Poe helped establish the modern detective story while becoming one of the most influential writers of psychological horror. He was also celebrated for the haunting rhythm and atmosphere of his poetry. His best-known works include The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Raven, and The Murders in the Rue Morgue. His stories often explore themes of death, guilt, obsession, madness, and the unsettling connection between beauty and terror.
Poe died under mysterious circumstances at only forty years old, adding to the legend surrounding his life. Although he struggled financially and received uneven recognition during his lifetime, his reputation grew enormously after his death. Today, he is regarded as a major figure in detective and horror fiction whose work influenced French Symbolism and generations of writers around the world.

What’s one positive thought you can use to replace a negative thought today?
"The first thing to realize is that you don’t have to acquire happiness – you already have it! All you have to do is stop thinking negative thoughts, and when you do that you will not only stop feeling bad, you will allow the happiness within you to take over your life."
