1/ Social security for gig workers is not mainly a money problem. It is a proof problem. The money is already in the law: aggregators are to contribute 1-2% of turnover, capped at 5% of what they pay workers. The rate and start date are yet to be notified.

3/ Proof is harder. A rider may work for three apps in one week and move to another city the next. He has to be counted once, verified once and covered everywhere. If coverage depends on the worker chasing paperwork, it will stay on paper.
4/ His proof already exists. Every trip and payout is logged on the platform’s servers. Since May, aggregators have had to share worker details with e-Shram. The question is whether the worker can see that record himself.
