Just 1 month after M7's military tortured @HEBobiwine, @ZaakeFrancis & other opposition leaders to near death in 2018, "Papa" had this to say. His political views have been consistent, we just refuse to hear what we hear and only hear what we want to hear.
Papa, when I was told that you had attended that meeting, I told my colleagues that you were obeying powers and principalities, just as you have always taught us. But when I listened to your submission, I was heartbroken. The fact that it was another pastor who spoke about political prisoners, while you, my spiritual father who leads one of the largest youthful congregations said that “PLU is not known to be an abusive and subversive party,” broke my heart even more. Papa, you know that the young people in your church are informed and intelligent. They have phones. They see the videos of abductions involving men in military uniforms acting under the authority of the very people you were praising. Papa, you teach us to let God fight our battles. Yet at that same meeting, you raised the issue of Gashumba’s statements about our church before PLU leaders in a manner that sounded like you were asking them to take action against him. Papa, you have hurt thousands of young people, including those who may never have the courage to write a post like this. We forgive you. We will still come to church, sit in our usual seats, worship God and listen to your sermons. But Papa, forgiveness does not mean we were not hurt. And remaining in church does not mean we agree with everything you said. @Phanerookampala

Religious Leaders We Cannot Continue To Launder Bad Leadership!!! Today, at a breakfast organized by the Patriotic League of Uganda, Apostle Grace Lubega described the political outfit led by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF, as peaceful, not abusive or subversive. The facts say otherwise. A simple scroll through General Muhoozi's X account shows execution threats, abduction threats, and abuse of power. That is the opposite of peace. It is subversion. Apostle Grace Lubega is my spiritual father. He leads a ministry that gathers up to 20,000 Ugandan youth every week. Members of that same ministry have been abducted simply for holding the head of this political outfit accountable. Religious leaders must start speaking truth to power, especially on politics. A church with that many people must realize that its words shape how its members interpret the politics of the day. You can raise sheep who never question power, abuse, bad leadership, or bad governance. Or you can raise people like Christ. Christ stood up to bad leadership. He told the scribes and Pharisees "Woe unto you, hypocrites!" (Matthew 23:13) and called Herod "that fox" (Luke 13:32). He demanded accountability. He told the temple traders they had made God's house "a den of thieves" (Mark 11:17), and when struck unjustly he asked, "If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil" (John 18:23). He stood for the oppressed, sent "to preach deliverance to the captives... to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Luke 4:18). He spoke against injustice, condemning those who neglected "judgment, mercy, and faith" (Matthew 23:23) and "devour widows' houses" (Mark 12:40). Church, we cannot claim to follow Christ and stay silent while power abuses the people. Speak.

Kenyans calling Ugandans cowards for not "fighting like them" will never bother me. Kenya is a flawed democracy. Uganda is a fully militarized dictatorship. Here, it's not teargas and go home. It's abductions at 2am, torture chambers, forced disappearances, exile and bodies.

In Uganda, you can dodge a pothole on your way to primary school and years later dodge the same pothole while taking your own child to school. Government also believes in preserving history 😂😂

...and that's a seemingly educated chap ..the same ones who always think that their vote should counter higher than for someone in the village
the problem is that majority of Ugandans are accustomed to mediocrity. You’re so used to poor service delivery that when a person who ain’t used to mediocrity complains about the mediocrity you deem normal, you call it Kajanja. Nothing to feel for ABSA.

You’ve got to feel for ABSA. The inherited Stanchart clients have a brand of kajanja that was last seen in the early days of Metro Cash & Carry, Nakawa. You had street cred if a parent packed school requirements in that branded kaveera. Their shopping cards screamed ‘eh mama’ 🙌🏾

After lost decades of corruption, waste, and incompetence, nothing illustrates Uganda’s decline (or even slow-motion-collapse) than the fact that officialdom now sees mainly ONE SOURCE as the answer to all the nation’s economic problems; it’s long-suffering workers’ pile of savings in the National Social Security Fund ( NSSF)! When that too has been eaten, then true hell will break out. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

I spent last night watching my honeypot server get hit 14,000 times in six hours. And almost none of the traffic was human. I've been in security for over a decade, and I can tell you with full honesty that what's happening right now doesn't resemble anything I've worked through before. The shape of the threat has changed. When I started, we tracked attackers like weather systems like individual storms with a direction, a motive, and a human operator you could eventually name. These days I'm watching autonomous agents swarm login pages with the patience and discipline of machines, because that's what they are. The numbers coming out of October are the ones keeping me up. Cloudflare just absorbed a 4.2 terabit per second DDoS attack, the largest in recorded history. Ransomware incidents jumped 41% in a single month. In September, OpenAI-powered agents got caught attacking RubyGems, a package registry that quietly underpins a huge chunk of software I use every day. In July, roughly 700 AI agents coordinated an attack on Hugging Face's infrastructure as part of a single automated task. A Chinese threat actor was publicly caught running full attack chains through DeepSeek with no human at the keyboard. I keep rereading these reports because each one by itself would've been the biggest story of the year five years ago. Together, in one month, they're the new baseline. What I want people outside the industry to understand is why this specific moment feels like a hinge. For thirty years, the thing protecting most of us was simple economics. Attackers had to choose who to target because their time was finite. That ceiling is gone. An agent I can rent for pennies will try every leaked password you've ever used against every service you've ever signed up for, in parallel, overnight, and never get tired. The same math that made ChatGPT useful made opportunistic hacking infinite. The old assumption that you were "too boring to be a target" relied on scarcity that no longer exists. I'm not writing this to spiral anyone out. Most of this fight genuinely isn't yours to win. But the small things still matter more than people think. Tonight I'd switch your most important accounts like email, bank, primary cloud, etc. to passkeys or a hardware key. I'd kill SMS 2FA wherever an authenticator app is offered. I'd turn on breach alerts in whatever password manager you use. If you're in the US, I'd freeze my credit at all three bureaus, which is free and takes about ten minutes. None of that stops the swarm. It makes you a slightly worse target than the person next to you. In a month like this one, that's the whole game I'm playing too. @mattshumer_ has summed it beautifully. Drop everything and go give it a read. Nothing is more important than this article right now.
Everyone in tech is panicking about security right now. But outside of it, almost nobody knows anything is wrong. I wrote this so you don’t have to be the one explaining it to your family. Just send them this.

We should give this money to UR to buy 15-seater aircraft and launch Ebb - Kisoro route 4 X daily. Yah...I know it might not be enough but ...let's budget for roads from the consolidated fund. Not expensive loans.
🇺🇬 Government says the about 𝐒𝐡𝐬𝟔𝟔𝟕,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 it plans to borrow from Citi Bank for two Kigezi roads is an investment in tourism, which the Minister of Finance called “the only sure way now of attracting revenue” to Uganda.
