You put up the wrong picture. Trump smeared more than half the country when he said the election was fraudulent and he won. Do you want to change the picture? Or just delete tweet?

Great lengthy thread on what is going on in London/UK. But this tweet is key for all to understand. This can be both a milder outbreak and a real crisis for our health system. And, at least locally, it is a real crisis.

During the first two big waves, hospitals scaled down the amount of non-Covid treatment to create capacity.
This winter they’re trying to work through the resulting backlog of often very ill people waiting for treatment, and the result is far less headroom, far more stress.

I had great experience getting quick & complete refund for a *covid* travel ticket from @Delta. Just learned that @AlaskaAir, despite receiving VAST federal bailout $$, is keeping money of a friend. Congress should have made federal bailout contingent upon NOT harming consumers.

The fact that Florida WILL exceed deaths for prior peaks & MAY, in fact, have highest overall fatalities (among states) during a time when we have highly effective vaccines, successful therapeutics, & access to testing is sad beyond belief.

We remain a long way to “Mission Accomplished” but today is the first time since February 2020 that @YNHH has ZERO Covid precaution patients in the ICU.
Get #Vaccinated and help keep up the progress.

If you could sue people for practicing medicine (via social media) without a license, people would not spread nearly as much disinformation & misinformation.
Physicians are MUCH more careful (except Rand Paul, perhaps) about contributing to the vast lies that are propagated.

I see no reason why John Boehner would have to spend time with @tedcruz to conclude he is a reckless assh***. It seems fairly obvious from daily observation. – at New Haven, CT

Cases appear to be plateauing because testing has gone up again. Overall, these numbers, do not suggest plateau. We still have a long way to go; but I think we are still making progress. – at New Haven, CT

To those worrying about mutations & variants & risk that this will be endless.
The virus can not mutate if it is not replicating inside a host. Stop infections & you stop mutations.
The less we allow this to go on, the fewer dangerous mutations.
Mitigate & Vaccinate. NOW.

Best 7 minutes 39 seconds of my day. I knew there was a reason I loved the Terminator ❤️
This is the best thing you will watch today.
With a clever dig at @HawleyMO :

#NorthDakota (soon to be followed by #SouthDakota) now ranked 6 in deaths/capita.
The enormity of loss in this third wave is stunning, in the context of all the advanced warning, better treatment, and protections available to the most vulnerable.

I never dreamed I’d have the honor to once again serve as Surgeon General. In this moment of crisis, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help end this pandemic, be a voice for science, and support our nation on its path to rebuilding and healing.

You have proven that you don't understand the simplest of issues. We, as a nation, need a leader who leads; a leader who seeks expert advice, and a leader who isn't the laughingstock of the world. You have brought shame to our country and death to our people.
