Pre-game protest at Selhurst Park vs Liverpool on 08/11/2026
Crystal Palace fans will be protesting outside the Main Stand on 08/11/2026 against the current club strategy, which prioritises tourists instead of regular match-going fans.
Please note that the protest is not about results; itโs not about the football. But it is about the way the club has treated its own fans in the last few years.
The fans are the backbone of this football club. We do not accept the current direction that the club is taking us, selling our soul in the process.
-Protest outside the Main Stand at 13:00
-We will not be taking our seats until 14:05 to show the club what the stadium would be like without the fans.
Weโre worried about the future of the football club, we want whatโs best for Crystal Palace. But right now, there is a massive disconnect between the club and fans.
Please read the following pages for the reasons that Crystal Palace fans are protesting.
THE FANS ARE THE CLUB

Tickets:
Prices for a single match ticket can be up to ยฃ70. These prices are aimed at tourists who are happy to pay for a membership and match ticket to see a one-off Premier League game. These prices are unaffordable for local fans, particularly young South Londoners. As a result, despite being in our most successful period, our fanbase is not growing, as shown by our Europa League attendances. Crystal Palace officials are sacrificing a long-term strategy for short-term gains.
We have also found that since the digitalisation of tickets, the club has been squeezing as much money out of fans as possible. It costs an extra ยฃ50 on top of the cost of a Season Ticket for the privilege of sharing your ticket with your mate or a family member.
Matchday Experience:
The club has changed the experience at the stadium from being a gritty South London club to a sanitised, Americanised experience.
We now have loud, generic pop music played all the way through until the kick-off of the game. We have club-funded flag bearers. We have club-funded pyrotechnics. We have club staff walking up and down the stairwells selling pom-poms. We even had the club try and force a new โclub anthemโ on us.
This is not Crystal Palace. We are a fanbase who have historically created our own atmosphere. The club has lost sight of what made us special in the English game, of what our unique selling point was, and the club has destroyed it.
Restrictions:
The club has deliberately made it difficult for fans to show their support.
The fans have previously asked for the music to be turned off prior to key games for the fans to show their support. The club denied these requests, citing โregulationsโ, we now know this to be a lie by the club. The club has also drowned out supporters with music after key wins. At the Shakhtar Donetsk game, the players were left visibly bemused by this decision.
The club has unnecessarily restricted banners and displays that have been funded and produced by the Crystal Palace fanbase.
Rail Seating:
In 2018, the club asked fans to sign a petition to legalise safe standing in England. We obliged. Safe standing has since been legalised and, eight years on, there is no sign of any being implemented in the home areas of our stadium. It has meant that the ground has become stagnant, as we have not been able to grow a sustainable singing section.

Interestingly, Sinatra didn't want to collaborate at all. He didn't believe the partnership would work because their musical styles were too different. But it turned out great!!! ๐ฅThe way Elvis moves his hand, his neck, it's just so charismatic. So fresh. Nobody compares.

Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it.
There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from.
If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems."
The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't.
โThere are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content.
There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place.
It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room.
โThat needs to change. And fast.

Further to my Brexit survey that showed 70% voted BREXIT has been bad for us. To add insult to injury it has recently come to light according to our PM that allegedly there was foreign intervention in the Brexit vote. What is not clear was the intervention distortion for or against Brexit. Either way if this is true then we least need to have another vote. The SME's have suffered enough.
Surreal feeling.
I grew up assuming the Championship was where weโd always reside, then we got in the Premier League and have stayed there for 13 years. Weโve won an FA Cup, a Conference League and tonight, weโre behind only Juventus in the Europa League table.
Silly.

Today is about celebrating the results, but itโs also about celebrating something bigger: the bravery to choose a Drama or Performing Arts qualification. Whatever the grade, choosing Drama was a bold choice. From all of us at National Drama, congratulations to students and staff.
