@BBCRadio4 Lovely to hear Professor @dawnbonfield on The Life Scientific emphasising good engineering design is inclusive, sustainable, healthy & safe. Strong buzz research shown inclusive and diverse your teams are, better solutions…1/2 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0021b…
Professor @dawnbonfield also advocated A’level Science as majority 15-16 year olds only take single or double science GCSE we lock them out single A’level science & careers in engineering. Or @ICE encouraging entry 3 A’levels inc Maths A’level. As Maths is most popular A’level.

Of all of the good news to take in this morning, there is at least one to take note of for the engineering community and that's materials engineer Chris McDonald FREng MP for Stockton North. Congratulations Chris. @Chris4SN @iom3 @RAEngNews

I am often asked ‘is there an upside to psychopaths/narcissists/coercive controllers?’
My international research with experts in the area across practice and academia indicates there is no worthwhile upside. Predators are too self-focussed, unpredictable, driven to control and also to win/acquire at the expense of others. Regardless of how great a surgeon, teacher, CEO or pilot they might be, the risks are too great.
