I’ll likely get dragged because I don’t have children but I think this “trunk or treat” trend that’s been happening the last few years has ruined Halloween for kids. It devalues the day itself and they don’t go door to door on Halloween night anymore. I want to hand out candy!

I keep seeing ads on social media platforms for online companies who diagnose adults with autism. What's the purpose? Do they sell you a system to cure you? Is there anyone who takes their test who isn't diagnosed?

I think we get too hung up on labels and diagnoses. Is your drinking causing problems in your personal or professional life? People will tie themselves into knots avoiding the label without considering that question.

My county has all these "specialty centers" that 8th graders can apply to for high school. One of them is devoted to coding. I can't think of a more obsolete career path. May as well study whale oil lamps or something.
