Funny enough, if not for AIs, governments would STILL shutdown the WWW because it is just too uncomfortable for them. They would just tell us that the internet must be controlled fully within one nation because of russian/chinese/american influence. AIs now is a good excuse.

In Cyberpunk, they had to shut down the internet because of evil rouge AIs. Everything ended up being run on local networks instead of a World Wide Web That just seems to be the way we are going honestly

People who want to shut it down are dumbasses with good hearts. Shutting down OpenAI or Anthropic won't do shit. There is no point to get back to either. You better invest in FOSS specialized models if you want to have at least some freedom in coming years.
