The grim spectacle (photos in the link below) of Potemkin Party's senior government officials undergoing, and even eulogizing, some misplaced military training and "militarism", provokes a host of perplexing questions on the PP's perspectives and modus operandi.
To be clear, the spiraling domestic conflicts that are besetting Ethiopia and the escalating tensions in the region stem from the Potemkin Party's willful and misguided policies.
They are indeed the offspring of the PP's wars of choice; so to speak.
The recent upheaval in Moyale that has ignited internecine conflict between the Somali and Oromia Regions; the ferocious wars raging in the Tigray and Amhara Regions etc... stem from its dysfunctional governance architecture.
In the wider Horn of Africa Region, the Potemkin Party continues to instigate and manufacture unnecessary and avoidable tensions with Eritrea, Somalia, and the Sudan respectively in pursuit of myopic and ill-advised agendas of territorial irredentism and destabilization; often to advance, as a surrogate party, the larger schemes of certain external powers.
In the event, the Potemkin Party does not require additional "militarism" but therapeutic introspection - ናይ ክልተ ሸውዓተ ማጨሎት ደርዓንቶ!
Ethiopia and the region cannot indeed afford, and must be spared from, yet another cycle of costly conflicts and turmoil.

(By @AmbStesfamariam) - Stability in the Horn of Africa is indeed vital. But stability cannot be defined exclusively through the lens of one country, nor can it be achieved by overlooking the sovereignty, territorial integrity and legitimate security concerns of its neighbors.
Preventing escalation requires more than calls for restraint. It demands addressing the underlying causes, and upholding the principles of the
UN Charter and international law. Threats, coercion and ambitions directed against the territorial integrity of neighbors cannot be normalized or overlooked.
Regional stability cannot be built on selective principles or strategic appeasement ... and stability is not a license for regional primacy, nor can it come at the expense of the sovereignty and security of neighboring states.
There can be no durable regional stability without respect for sovereign equality, territorial integrity, mutual respect and adherence to international law.

Video Footage Raises Serious Questions About Abiy’s War in the Horn of Africa
This video clip, recorded by curious residents in Tigray, has inadvertently raised serious questions about the nature of the war Abiy Ahmed is conducting in the Horn of #Africa, including he is acting in the interests of the UAE and possibly Israel.
What evidence can we identify from the video?
1) The soldiers can be heard asking for eight AAA batteries, suggesting that they are looking for a specific item of equipment or supplies.
2) They are speaking English and are unfamiliar with the surrounding area, raising questions about their identity and their presence in Tigray.
3) They are wearing CAT (Caterpillar) footwear. The person recording the video comments on their shoes, referring to them as CAT shoes and comparing them to Timberland footwear.
4) The person recording the video can be heard identifying the soldiers as Israelis.
5) From their appearance, the soldiers are non-Ethiopian soldiers and more look more Middle Eastern or European.
Abiy is clearly using mercenary soldiers to kill #Ethiopians and wage war of expansionism at the bidding of UAE.
