Bought physical copper at ₹1,900/kg. Took it to a scrap dealer. He offered me a cup of tea and condolences.

Guess kar liya #JioPlatforms ka opening price ? Ab kya karna ?😂😂😂
Predicting #JioPlatforms opening price is the most pointless exercise on X right now. Even if you get it exactly right, you'll own 500 shares at best. Nobody gets rich guessing day one. People get rich understanding year ten.

2019 : My first job as an intern. My first investment. ₹2,640 into BSE. A business I understood. Today: ₹1.57 lakh. No secret here, no perfect entry and no daily trading. Just one decision: buy a business I understood, then leave it alone Wealth is not made on listing day or in one great trade. It is made by holding good businesses long enough for time to do its work. Start small. Start early. Stay patient.

Own 1 share. Get a discount voucher every year. 🎁 Some Indian companies send coupons to every shareholder on record. A shareholder with 1 share gets the same coupon as one with 10,000. 🏨 Indian Hotels (Taj): 25% off a breakfast-inclusive stay, plus spa and salon savings ⌚ Titan: 10% off across Tanishq, Fastrack and more 👞 Metro Brands: 15% off, including Skechers, Clarks and Crocs 👟 Bata: 20% off footwear 🧵 Raymond: a discount coupon worth up to ₹5,000 🛏️ Trident: 25% off home textiles 🍔 Restaurant Brands Asia (Burger King): 50% off dine-in and takeaway 🎢 Wonderla: 20% off park tickets How it works: → Hold the share on the record date → Keep your email ID updated with your depository participant → The coupon arrives by email, usually after the AGM A coupon is a bonus. It is not a reason to buy a stock. Buy the business for its fundamentals, and treat the perk as a small thank-you for being an owner. Which shareholder perk have you actually used? 👇

When everyone you speak to is certain a sell-off is coming, it rarely shows up on schedule. Every conversation lately: "November to January will be the worst time to be in the markets." When fear is this crowded, most of the selling has usually already happened. My contrarian bet: the surprise after November could be on the upside.

Applied for the Jio IPO knowing the allotment odds are roughly the same as finding parking in Bandra on a Saturday. Still checking at 12:01 AM. Hope is a terrible long-term strategy, but a great short-term hobby. Check it out here ipostatus.kfintech.com/

Indians put 10x more money into small-cap funds than large-cap funds last month. Then came this week. In September, Indian investors put ₹9,039 crore into small-cap funds and ₹859 crore into large-cap funds. That's more than 10x. This week, the Nifty Smallcap 100 fell 7.3%, its worst week since February 2025. In the Smallcap 250, 66 stocks fell 10% or more in just four sessions. And yet, even after the fall:
Nifty Smallcap 250: 34x earnings
Nifty 50: 19.4x earnings A fall is not the same as cheap. Prices came down, but the valuation premium is still there. SIP flows hit a record ₹32,490 crore in September, which is a good habit. But where the money goes matters as much as how regularly it goes.

MTF is one of the worst habits an investor can pick up. You are paying 12–18% a year in interest on borrowed money. That means your stock has to beat that cost before you make a single rupee. Borrow ₹5 lakh at 15% and hold it for a year. That is ₹75,000 in interest. If the stock goes nowhere, you are down ₹75,000. If it falls 20%, your loss is magnified, and the broker may square off your position at the worst possible time. And interest is charged every single day, whether the market is kind to you or not. India's MTF book is at a record high while the index has gone nowhere for a year. That is not a bull market. That is leverage building up. The pattern is always the same. Stretch to the maximum limit. Market falls. Blame the market, the government, the FIIs, the news. The problem was never the market. It was the position size. Invest with the money you have. Conviction does not need borrowed capital.
