Maybe I lose something in doing so and so be it, but I am not going to read any further of what you write the moment you equate an incarcerated member of an oppressed minority community with a regime-backed public influencer from the majority community who has all the impunity in this world. Discourse is a product of material conditions and structural context. If you discount that basic fact, then you have an understanding of neither history, nor politics. So enjoy your own distorted stream of consciousness.

An India Today anchor calls out her own channel for running a hit job against Newsclick.
A website shut down. People lost jobs. And the shameless people in the video "debate" while the channel calls itself "Democratic newsroom".

Alert 🚨
Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh) is on the boil right now as police allegedly hurl tear gas shells at hundreds of protesters doing a peaceful 24-hr sit-in against the Siang mega dam.
At least 2 police vehicles torched, and heavy pelting continues as tension simmers

So what if he is a police officer? He is literally the chief of a force that’s categorically tasked with guarding the India-China border. Why should he not talk about defence preparedness, which directly affects how his units respond to cross-border threats? Anyway, ITBP chiefs, like all CAPFs (except the AR), have always been senior IPS officers. In fact, that this is coming from the ITBP indicates a problem in how operational resources are allocated between regular and paramilitary border forces. A journalist should ideally probe deeper into his remarks, but nai pehle inko chup kara dete hai.

The 12-hr stike is a part of the ultimatum given by the anti-protesters to withdraw the paramilitary forces, FIRs and and the Prefeasibilty report for mega dam in Siang Valley that will submerge at least 27 villages and scores of other hamlets

Al Jazeera Media Network condemns the spyware attacks targeting a number of its staff, as documented in a Citizen Lab report released today. Al Jazeera worked voluntarily with Citizen Lab's researchers, and, as the report notes, that cooperation helped verify and publicly document these attacks. The Network has taken, and continues to take, appropriate steps to protect its staff and systems.
The targeting of journalists is an attack on press freedom and on the public's right to know. Those responsible must be held accountable.
"This anger has moved from memory to muscle. It is out on the street. It is loud and embodied. It is in your face...and in your living room. It is standing up and lashing out.
It is not male.
This anger is Neha Bora."

A profile of rage: Unlike sadness, cynicism, or fear, anger is cathartic. It has movement. It has courage. And for today’s youth, it has finally arrived.
