Canada's AI advantage starts with our people. We're investing up to $162 million through Mitacs AI Advantage to create 10,000 paid AI-related work placements for young Canadians. I asked @MitacsCanada CEO Stephen Lucas what this investment means for Canada's future and how we can ensure more Canadians have the opportunity to succeed in the AI economy. Because building Canada strong starts with investing in Canadian talent and creating opportunities for the next generation to lead.

Rosh Hashanah begins tonight, and we marked it the way it should be: apples, honey, and good company.

🏠 Submission to the National Housing Council Review Panel on the Lack of Accessible Housing in Canada Accessible housing is essential to ensuring that all Canadians can age with dignity, independence and security. The NIA was pleased to submit recommendations to the National Housing Council's Third Review Panel on the lack of accessible housing in Canada in partnership with Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health, @CdnHomeCare, @cnpea, @CanAgeSeniors, @HelpAgeCanada, @ILCCanada and @NPFederation. Together, we highlighted the urgent need for more affordable, safe and accessible homes that support older adults and people with disabilities. Our submission calls for: ✅ Mandatory universal design standards in new housing ✅ Increased investment in accessible non-market housing ✅ Stronger protections against displacement and housing insecurity ✅ A rights-based approach to housing policy As Canada's population ages, accessible housing must become a national priority. niageing.ca/reports/submissi…
