Imo, it would have been a masterpiece had it not shifted its identity in the final 15 minutes, remaining instead that bizarre, feverish, existential character-study drama. Even so, it’s a very good film, I liked it a great deal.

That's a beautiful movie, thank you for reminding me that I've got to see more of his work!

As objectively as possible to judge, I agree, cinema peaked in the 60s.
Ofc the 70s are a strong contender, so it’s difficult to make a definitive judgment.
Subjectively,I have an emotional attachment to the 90s, even so, I believe that the 00s produced more well-rounded films.

A beautiful way to put it!
What's amazing is that although Heraclitus & early Buddhism developed entirely independently without influencing one another, they both arrived at the exact same conclusion about reality.
A wonderful case of parallel thinking across different cultures!

Christopher Smith slander will not be tolerated :)
Obviously I'm joking, Ferrara can say whatever he wants, but seriously now, he's a low-profile director who has made some good indie,low-budget films & there was zero reason for an acknowledged director like Ferrara to go at him

Exactly this movie crossed my mind when I was writing this post, that's why I limited it in the last 15 years!

My rating was similar, 7.3/10 :)
My expectations weren't high, so I enjoyed it very much. I like such movies a lot, dialogue driven dramedies leaning toward dark comedy. Carnage is probably the best movie of this subgenre in the last 15 years imo. And Rogen was unexpectedly good

They are my favorite musical artists ever, regardless genre,
once I was making a metal list putting songs from every group and when it came to Maiden I was "forced" to put 50 songs of them in this list :)If you noticed it,it's the only group I put 2 of their albums in these lists

Of course when I said "they might not all be of the same "quality", I didn't mean Somewhere in Time which is objectively a legendary album, I meant other albums, like Blink 182 or The Raveonettes :)

Thank you my friend!
I love all 27 of them, I’ve formed an emotional bond with them. They might not all be of the same "quality," but the simple fact that they contain songs I still find myself humming—even 30+ years after I first heard them—means they just couldn't be left out!
