i set up a performance for some cows as a study into ecomusicology. they all came towards the vibration and created a very curious but respectful audience. they didn't like loud bass/drums very much, but seemed to be very appreciative of sad minor guitar melodies and jazz chords

Juan Atkins wasnt signed to a major and didn't make commercial music. There's no big capitalist machine invested in profiting from his posthumous career, so the accolades are going to come entirely from the literal millions who's lives were changed by his art- that's true legacy

Man who had a hand in creating/founding one of the most popular and listened to music genres on earth worked till he died. Did he get to enjoy spending time with himself and his family and friends or was paper chasing until his life left his body necessary?

Juan Atkins created the world we live in. Too many monolithic world creating classics to count. This sucks.
