Wow, the operation cheapseek has ended?? am i the only one experiencing issues with @deepseek_ai via @opencode go?

Phew, it has been resolved

My bad re the MiMo speed. It was not the MiMo slow, it was just I made a transition from @pidotdev to @opencode MiMo is superb in Pi. Can't complain. My favorite model so far
Totally agree with this. Have finally found some time for testing MiMo V2.6 for the last few days and I am really impressed. But the speed....I don't know... Its very slow on OpenCode Go plan in Europe. I am getting 30 t/s on average. At least OC v2 reports this

As a MiMo V2.5 enjoyer I'm very excited for MiMo V2.6 I consider MiMo as that balanced, smooth as silk model because it plays nicely with most of my workflow: From system prompt, skills, up to the way I prompt and converse with my agents MiMo is just one of those models that does not fight with my setup, a cheaper model that converses with the simplicity of Claude and the structure of ChatGPT GLM and DeepSeek are great, but GLM is too verbose and technical to my liking, which is essential don't get me wrong, but not great when you just want direct to the point responses and a path towards clarity, not more complexity. On the other hand, DeepSeek loves adding "one more thing" like Steve Jobs and still misses stuff despite doing that, due to its notoriety of scoring so high in AA-Omniscience Hallucination Rate. Don't get me wrong, that makes DeepSeek a creative model, at least from my own experience conversing with it. However, MiMo is known for having low hallucination rates just like Gemini 3.8, Kimi K3, and GLM 5.3, and these are even lower than Claude models which frequently sits at 60% range. But what makes me most excited is MiMo V2.6's price and speed I/O token price comparisons show: ~1.5x/2.4x cheaper than GLM 5.3 discounted prices ~3.4x/8.6x cheaper than Kimi K3 Artificial Analysis charts show 2x speed I am recently impressed with DeepSeek APIs speed. If Xiaomi MiMo keeps up with being half as fast, it's a no brainer that I will use it more. Faster inference just keeps me in the flow state longer, and once you experience that, it's harder to tolerate slower models.

Correction, it's actually 60 tps now. But sometimes it thinks for 10 minutes. Anyways, the result of that thinking is 🤎

Seems like we have a new token saver from @jetbrains team — the benjamin-plus hook. gonna try it today, benchmarks look promising. One should expect 10-18% cost savings.

After working a lot with the Feynman harness for literature reviews recently, I believe this is even more true in the agentic era. Just think about it. agents often find literature via web-search (let's say @firecrawl or @ExaAILabs ). These tools are great but usually return only fulltext of a paper rather than images. And init much easier for an agent to process a table than to interpret complex box plots or Sankey diagrams?
What a great figure I've just seen in @robinlovelace presentation. From @EdwardRaffML paper focused on reproducibility. 🧑‍🍳Recipe to high citations: reproducible research with accessible code in a Sci Journal and lots of tables!

After finally working with a @deepseek_ai v4-flash-0731 for a while, I find that `/ponytail ultra` is a must. Even with such constraints it is very wordy.

am i the only one or the grok is down in Europe? was fine an hour ago and now I even cant start Grok Build

Just read a paper that genuinely changed how I think about automated water mapping from space 🌊 The big surprise? Link[doi.org/10.1080/10095020.202…]

Over the past few months Pi has consistently shown up in benchmarks as the best harness for both cost and performance. Earendil engineer @cristinaponcela examines case studies from @databricks and @Shopify highlighting why Pi’s minimalism is the advantage. Blog post below

Oh, nice! The well awaited comparison I have been too lazy to do myself.
PROOF same model, same effort, same provider, same codebase, same prompt claude code vs pi + fff extension vs opencode 0.17.3

Agentic Search for Context Engineering @helloiamleonie's hot take: context engineering is about 80% agentic search. The arrow from context sources to context window is doing most of the work. youtube.com/watch?v=ynJyIKwj… The workshop covers the full tool landscape: shell tools, semantic search, general-purpose query execution, agent skills, and when each one breaks. Including the part where an agent fakes semantic search by chaining grep synonyms. Low floor tools (specialized, easy to call correctly) vs high ceiling tools (general purpose, handles the unexpected). You probably need both, and the workshop shows you how to pick.

Terminal Threads are live in Zed v1.3.5! You can now run claude, amp, pi, or any terminal-based workflow as a managed thread in the Threads Sidebar, right next to your other agent threads.

I've been using non-VS Code based IDEs more and more lately. But I found that I became so used to the @system76 Pop Dark theme created by @ArtisanByteCrafter So I have ported it for @zeddotdev and the Pi. I cannot help myself, I love these warm colours, especially in Zed.
