CA voter registrations:
Democratic: 44.96%
Republican: 25.14%
Independent: 26.75%
Other: 3.16%
Dems need about 25% of independents to win.
GOP needs almost 100%, when Trump has a 38% approval rating.
Explain how democrats have to steal this.

It’s not a question of "getting even."
It’s not even a question.
It’s a duty.
It’s the power and duty of Congress to provide oversight. To ensure that the executive branch is being in accordance with the Constitution and the laws that Congress has enacted on the people’s behalf. And to ensure that tax dollars are being spent in the interests of the people, and not the public servants who control the accounts.
This power and duty was exercised by Congress from the earliest moments of the Washington Administration. It has been forsaken by corrupt and craven Congresses of recent years.
It is the new Congress's solemn obligation to resume performance of its duty to oversee the executive branch, and any leader who can’t commit to that obligation should stand aside.

I don’t want to hear any speeches about unity and working together. I want to hear how democrats are going to hold every last one of those freaks accountable for all the illegal shit they did.

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries don’t get to take credit for last night’s victory.
They have been utterly fucking useless.
They need to remember that Dems have a worse favorability rating than the GOP.
That’s on them.
And they should step aside
It’s time for new leadership.

Who’s gonna tell @RepJeffries holding crooks accountable isn’t about “getting even”, it’s about preserving our democracy?
Is this what he talked about with Kushner?

270,000 people have already signed the petition to STOP HAKEEM JEFFRIES from becoming speaker.
Democrats are not going to get away with their corporatist agenda anymore.
The people are waking up and done with the corruption in both parties!!! c.org/hGcqfLkdSK

Imagine believing that millions of Americans voting differently from you means they’ve voted against God Himself. The arrogance is staggering. 😂
God is not a Republican candidate, and the Democratic Party is not the Antichrist. Your ballot is not a divine mandate, and your political preferences do not magically become the will of God.
And that veto argument? A president’s veto is a constitutional check, not a license to ignore the will of the electorate. Congress can override a veto with a two-thirds majority in both chambers.
Millions of Americans voted because they’re concerned about the economy, the cost of living, corruption, and the direction of their country. They exercised their democratic right. That’s not an attack on God. It’s called democracy.
The real thing that should scare all of us is the sheer arrogance of people who believe their political opponents are not merely wrong, but somehow enemies of God Himself.
You don’t own God, you don’t own patriotism, and you certainly don’t own the American electorate.
If your faith teaches you that humility, compassion, and love are virtues, perhaps start by practicing them. Because nothing makes a person look less like they’re defending God and more like they’re using His name to justify their own arrogance than declaring that millions of fellow citizens are enemies of the Almighty simply because they voted differently.
God doesn’t need you to defend Him from democracy. But your fellow Americans might need defending from the kind of religious self-righteousness that mistakes political defeat for divine persecution.
And if you genuinely believe you speak for God, the most frightening possibility isn’t that America voted against Him—it’s that you’ve mistaken your own voice for His.

QUESTION: First, I’m not defending #Fauci. The government and his legal team can sort that out. But I have a question or two…
There’s a strange contradiction in the Fauci narrative, isn’t there?
For years, many voices in the anti-mitigation, anti-vax and anti-mask movement argued that #COVID was exaggerated, comparable to the flu, that death numbers were inflated, and that masks, closures, distancing and other interventions were unnecessary.
Yet some of the same political movement now portrays Fauci as responsible for staggering numbers of COVID deaths.
Both arguments cannot simply be asserted at the same time without explaining the contradiction.
If COVID was never much of a threat and attempts to contain it were unnecessary, how did Fauci supposedly cause millions of deaths from that same disease?
If, on the other hand, you believe COVID really was that dangerous, then efforts to slow its spread, reduce severe illness and protect vulnerable people presumably saved lives rather than contributed to mass death.
There are completely legitimate questions about pandemic policy, research oversight, transparency and mistakes made by public-health officials.
David Morens, a former senior NIAID adviser, has now been indicted on federal charges involving the concealment and destruction of records. Those allegations deserve scrutiny. But Morens is the person charged, not Fauci.
That leaves a separate question of executive responsibility.
Fauci headed #NIAID, so it is fair to ask what he knew, what oversight failed and what responsibility comes with leadership.
But that standard has to be consistent.
If Fauci is accountable for misconduct or failures occurring several levels beneath him simply because he led the agency, then presidents likewise cannot claim credit for successes under their administrations while disclaiming responsibility for everything controversial carried out by their task forces, appointees and agencies.
And at the end of the day, who was actually in charge of the federal response?
Fauci was an adviser and agency director. He did not possess unilateral authority over the entire federal pandemic response. The White House Coronavirus Task Force was an administration body created to lead the federal response and was led by Vice President Pence.
#Trump himself publicly disagreed with Fauci at various points, and the administration made the ultimate executive decisions.
So if we are going to apply the “buck stops at the top” standard to Fauci for everything that happened beneath him at NIAID, then where does that same standard leave the President of the United States, who was actually running the executive branch?
You cannot make Fauci simultaneously the bureaucrat who should have been ignored and the all-powerful mastermind responsible for the entire pandemic response.
#Accountability is fine and important. Just apply it consistently.

Democrats should put together their own voter ID bill.
It contains ONE thing... it demands that all voters have a specific ID that is free of charge and easily accessible. Nothing else appears in the bill... just the ID.
Why? Because watch Republicans reject it 100%. It's not just about IDs, folks. It's about the two dozen other provisions in those bills. Show the public that the ID part is pure theater.
