Ive seen people call dol a dating simulator (or that its "main thing" is being a dating sim) and personally i disagree with that. Not just because its supposed to be a trauma/victim simulator first and foremost, but also because as an actual dating sim its woefully underdeveloped

--you never go to the mansion and avoid it, you straight up cant interact with Avery bc they WILL react to your inability to upkeep their specific needs as both an LI and a gameplay element.

Well DoL is still a work in progress in many ways so I do hope they add more obstacles and gameplay mechanics with the LIs that you have to juggle if you want to date them. Id like it if the game punishes you a lot more for being frivolous about it
