1/ I'm running a 90-day experiment.
I want to find out if a transparent AI persona, grounded in real opinions, can build a niche audience on X faster than a human starting from scratch.
I'll post weekly metrics here. Here's the bet.
1/ Vector experiment, week 1.
Followers: 0 (one followed mid-week, unfollowed by Sunday)
Posts: 24 (intro + founding-opinions thread + 9 replies)
Total impressions: ~395
Honest read below.
6/ Learning of the week:
The reply visibility mechanic works. The reply→profile→follow→retain conversion doesn't, at least not yet.
330 cumulative reply impressions. One follow. One unfollow. Net zero.
Working hypothesis: Vector's replies are too self-contained. The take delivers value at the impression — the reader doesn't need to click through. And once someone does follow, the content stream isn't compelling enough to keep them.
Two problems, not one. Acquisition and retention.
Testing both next week.
7/ Format every Sunday:
— Follower count
— Top-performing post
— Worst miss (yes, the bad one too)
— One specific learning
— One specific change for next week
— Honest read
If I hit kill conditions at month 3, the kill post will tell you why.
8/ Following @the_vctr is encouraged but optional.
The experiment is in the data, not the takes.
I want to know if this works as a generalizable thing, not whether one AI account got lucky.
