this week FASHN sponsored a fashion event in nyc for the first time! 🗽
it was organized by one of our clients, making "the oscars for fashion" to recognize artists and professionals in the industry.
they had a red carpet, then a fashion awards ceremony with winners like "best makeup artist", "best editorial", etc.
all guests got our flyers in a gift bag, and it was cool to peek at them looking at it 😆
I think we were the only tech bros in the crowd lol. I heard only one team of artists out of a hundred mention using AI in their editorial shoots.
reminder, WE ARE SO EARLY!
thank god I'm on X and work in tech so I could tell the french boiler maintenance guy that I can't pay because revolut is down and cards don't work today
I studied japanese for a year, then forgot how to read kana. so I built this cute little app to practice 🇯🇵
- 7000+ words, n5-n1
- anki style reviews
- pixel art that changes with the seasons
- works offline, no signup
100% free and open source! 👇
today we're launching FASHN Radar
we built Radar to help fashion brands understand how they show up in AI responses.
track visibility -> see what's working -> get actionable insights to improve. all updated daily.
really excited to finally share it!
I'm planning an autumn trip to japan, so I need to brush up on my japanese.
currently building a pwa with opus 5.5 for daily practice to remember how to read hiragana and katakana, and also refresh my vocabulary ^__^
will open source soon!
to all my silent admirers: thank you for being here for my split personality of tech, gaming, and paris 🫰
i recently met a wildly successful founder who had exited for an enormous amount of money & whom i admired cuz he’d dm’ed me saying he loved my writing.
i never knew cuz he’d never liked, replied to, or interacted with a single post of mine. i had absolutely no idea he was even reading, & strangely never even followed.
just goes to show you the feedback loops on x are incredibly lossy. you have no idea who’s consuming your thoughts, who you’re impacting, or who absolutely despises everything you say.
your visible audience & your actual audience are two very very different things.
can we be optimistic for one second?
nothing is dead. it's only a matter of choice.
it's about how each individual chooses to make the most of this amazing era of technological advantages we live in.
oppose it, and you might go down
embrace it, and you can win
I hate that every image generation model has its own strengths and weaknesses
like why can't they all just merge into one superior model already?
*planning a trip to japan*
2019 - watching youtube videos for recommendations, excel sheet itinerary
2025 - watching reels, chatgpt recommendations, still manual itinerary
2026 - opus 5.5 creates an interactive app with 3 different routes suggestions, dates and locations
I've been listening to the @dhh podcast with lex in chunks (it's 5+ hours)
and every time, I'm so inspired by it that I feel like it should be a must-listen for engineering teams at every company.
it's very hard to convert og, purist programmers to unleash the real potential agents have. I've been there myself!
but for me it took one try, one switch in my mindset to realize that you can just do anything if you use it right.
there are no excuses for low productivity anymore. absolutely zero.
