I’m Shawn, founder of Memories.ai, former researcher at Meta and CS PhD at University of Cambridge.
Today we’re launching Memories.ai: we built the world’s first Large Visual Memory Model - to give AI human-like visual memories.
Why visual memory?
AI to date is chat-based, which has great applications, but humans are not only chat based. Humans have visual-memories, and are visually driven. Memories.ai enables AI agents, softwares, and even robots to see and remember the world the way humans do.
We just raised an $8m seed round led by @susaventures to build the visual-memory layer for AI.
Why is Memories.ai so groundbreaking? 👇

We're thrilled to announce @crane_vc's expanded partnership into Asia-Pacific with MassMutual Ventures. This means $450 million of capital across new investments and portfolio will be overseen by Crane, significantly strengthening our global support for early-stage founders in Europe and APAC.
Since 2015, we've backed remarkable companies across post-quantum security, robotics, infrastructure software/tools, and AI systems.
We believe in early conviction and long-term commitment – being "first to believe, last to leave." This partnership reinforces that commitment, now with even greater reach and deeper insights to help founders scale.
A huge thank you to all our founders, LPs, team and supporters.

@limebike I cycle to work on my personal bike and every day I struggle to access a bike rack to lock my bike. There are Lime bikes against every single bike rack on the street I work on as well as on the street perpendicular. @CityWestminster and @limebike please advise
@limebike once again all bike racks on Noel street and Berwick street are occupied by Lime bikes this morning. No space for me to lock my bike. Please can you address this?
Earlier today I struggled to get my bike out of the bike rack that I had locked it to as there were @limebike bikes surrounding my bike on all sides including behind it on the pavement. This is a health and safety hazard to all pavement users. This is on Noel Street in London

Proud of our founders for putting @crane_vc among the top 5% value-add investors in Europe according to @dealroomco. Startups that raise Seed funding from top 5% VC funds are 4.5x more likely to secure Series A funding compared to those that raise from bottom 25% funds.
First to believe, last to leave.

@lambeth_council I couldn’t cycle on my usual route home last night on Exton Street off of Waterloo roundtable because it was completely blocked by hundreds of @limebike s. Please can you advise what’s being done to address this? Most days this road is half blocked by like bikes.

How come I have so many Israeli friends and I’m yet to back an Israeli founder??
If you are an Israeli founder, who
A) looks for angel investment 👉 DM me and I’ll angel invest if I know your space and I’m additive, AND will make intros to other angels
B) you are raising 👉 DM and I’ll do a dry run pitch practice, give you feedback on the deck and intro you to VCs and angels or coach how to raise from a position of strength if you’re raising an extension/bridge
C) you are building in dev tools(the space I know) and are not raising but you could use an intro to someone in my network, customer or talent or use my presence to amplify somthing, DM
I know this isn’t much, but I respect the startup nation and honor the chutzpah spirit and you should never feel alone
