JAKARTA: Di sebalik desakan sesetengah pihak di Indonesia yang menuding jari ke arah Malaysia dan Singapura berhubung jerebu, senarai rasmi polis negara itu menunjukkan hanya satu syarikat milik pelabur Malaysia antara 20 korporat yang disyaki terlibat kebakaran hutan dan tanah (karhutla).
Ketua Bareskrim Polri, Komjen Asep Safrudin dalam sidang media di Polda Kalimantan Barat, Pontianak pada Khamis (29 Oktober) berkata, 16 daripada 20 syarikat itu adalah syarikat tempatan Indonesia.
Empat lagi adalah syarikat pelaburan asing iaitu PT RKA (Malaysia) dengan 2,157 hektar tanah terbakar, PT HKI (Singapura, 987 hektar), PT AI (Singapura, 421 hektar) dan PT API (Korea Selatan, 351 hektar).
Keseluruhannya, polis membuka 104 laporan membabitkan korporat dengan keluasan tanah terbakar 29,168.78 hektar.
Syarikat terbabit disiasat mengikut Undang-Undang Nombor 32 Tahun 2009 mengenai Perlindungan dan Pengurusan Alam Sekitar yang membawa hukuman penjara tiga hingga lima tahun dan denda Rp3 bilion hingga Rp15 bilion.
Bagaimanapun, siasatan masih berjalan.
Polis turut memaklumkan 97 korporat sedang disiasat, termasuk lapan syarikat pelaburan Malaysia dan sembilan Singapura, manakala 75 adalah pelaburan dalam negeri.
Status PT RKA setakat ini hanyalah suspek dan belum disabitkan oleh mahkamah.
Sehari sebelum itu, Menteri Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam, Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup memberitahu Dewan Rakyat bahawa setakat ini tiada bukti muktamad syarikat perladangan berkaitan Malaysia bertanggungjawab, namun mana-mana pihak yang terbukti mencemar perlu dikenakan tindakan.
Isu ini terus panas di media sosial Indonesia apabila ada warganet mendesak syarikat Malaysia dan Singapura diambil tindakan, malah kolum pendapat seorang penulis tamu di Kompas melabel kedua-dua negara jiran itu sebagai hipokrit.
Namun angka rasmi polis Indonesia sendiri menunjukkan majoriti suspek adalah syarikat tempatan negara itu.- MYNEWSHUB
