I wanted a personal notebook that my friends could see and leave little notes on. So I built one with @usecharming I can write my journal, while friends can add and drag sticky notes anywhere. Simple, shareable, and feels like a tiny notebook on the internet.

Here’s how I resolved the API latency issue for the Fineart Club website backend I was recently building at NIT Kurukshetra.

Initially, I faced latency issues with Postgres, which was using an HTTP-only Neon serverless connection. I thought indexing could resolve this issue, but the improvement was minimal.

To tackle this, I switched to Cloudflare D1, which integrates seamlessly with Cloudflare Workers. As a result, the latency decreased significantly — achieving about 67-167x faster performance compared to the initial implementation. :)

Building a website for our Fineart Club @NITKKR! Frontend & backend are almost done — now polishing details & optimizing performance. Backend: Cloudflare Worker with Hono Faced some tough challenges with auth & DB connections (since CF Workers only use HTTP), but learning a lot
