and those "hope a hurricane comes" jokes aint funny either bitch, my people lost their lives during hurricane katrina and later on as more storms take over due to the government's neglect on the south also
everyone hates on the south because they’re red but don’t take the time to realize the south is red because we are constantly gerrymandered and they make it impossible for minorities— ESPECIALLY POC— to vote, in rural areas most polling places are inaccessible

Thank you, Tennessee! I am honored and humbled to be elected the next Governor of the great state of Tennessee. This victory belongs to the people who make Tennessee great—the families who work hard, the parents who sacrifice, the farmers who feed us, and the volunteers who never give up. We built a movement of people who believe Tennessee’s best days are ahead. Tennessee can and should be THE state of opportunity. My promise is simple: Tennessee will be a state where hard work pays off, families can put down roots, and everyone has the opportunity to build a better future. We have the people. We have the principles. We have the opportunity. Now it's time to get to work. Starting tomorrow, we will begin building our team, and that starts with every one of you. As your governor, I will tap the best and the brightest to be a part of our administration to ensure we move Tennessee forward. We will do this together, because everyone has something they can do to make the best state even better.

I believe Tennessee is worth fighting for. I have always believed that. And I will never stop believing it. This was one battle for the future of our state. It was not the end of the fight. We have more work to do. More communities to organize. More voices to lift up. More people to bring into this movement. And to every volunteer, every supporter, every person who donated, knocked a door, made a phone call, hosted a gathering, or simply told a friend why this campaign mattered: thank you.

Marsha lost 6 of the top 7 counties in TN and still ended up winning. Really weird but Jerri ran a good campaign. It’s no reason TN should have like 10 independent people running. Once you lose all the big counties, you should lose the race.

aphrodite is the goddess of love, beauty, sexuality, desire, and fertility, NOT femininity. she doesn't need to be hyperfemme to embody those aspects. she's also historically a war goddess!! it's almost 2027, y'all need to stop ridiculing masculine lesbians like this!!
Replying to @HeartlessReader
It’s the way Kate McKinnon could also VERY EASILY look like Aphrodite, but they’ve went with lesbian car dealership owner

i don't want to get in any discourse or whatever, but the way some of you people are basically using 'looking like a lesbian' to criticise pjotv aphrodite's appearance... i hope you and your lesbophobia burn in hell kinda

Final results are in for TN Gov and TN-09. Dem losses by 1.9 and 1.1 points. While this is disappointing as hell, *nobody* expected these races to be in play WHATSOEVER. Don't let anyone tell you Tennessee is not worth fighting for, Bluessee is possible within one election cycle.
