Here’s my #FPL GW3 Team. Overall Points: 172 OR: 404,244 Transfers: Ndiaye ➡️ Szoboszlai Unfortunately, Ndiaye wasn’t a transfer I expected to be making this early. His move to City changed the plans, as otherwise this would have been a very easy roll. Szoboszlai isn’t necessarily an asset I’m particularly excited about, but I didn’t see much reason to overcomplicate the decision either. Penalties, close to 90 minutes every week and we already know the DEFCON potential is there. Sometimes boring is perfectly fine. I also considered both the WC and FH this week. There are obviously several ways I could improve this team, but already owning triple City made using either chip feel excessive. I’m firmly convinced there will be a moment later in the season when both become considerably more valuable. Restraint is a decision too. I was also very close to using my second FT on Maguire ➡️ Thiaw. Lewis Hall was actually my preferred Newcastle defender, but I was 0.1 short. Rather than forcing a move I wasn’t completely convinced by, I decided to keep Maguire and carry the transfer. Having 2 FTs and another week of information feels more valuable. João Pedro first sub might raise a few eyebrows. There’s certainly an argument for starting him, but Arsenal bias wins this one. Early enough in the season to allow myself that luxury. Ultimately, a lot of this GW will come down to the City triple-up and Haaland (C) against Coventry. No need to reinvent a team every week for me.
