Today is World Identity Day. The UN SDG mandated nations to provide Identity, including birth certificate, as right to all. Nigeria accounts of over 100 million of the 1.1 billion people without Identity. We must unify all Identities. It is time for all Nigerians to have one Identity in Passport, drivers licence, voters card, bank etc. This is key to our development and to national security.
Today is exactly 5 years after my retirement as the 16th CG of Nigeria Immigration Service. My sincere gratitude to the Almighty God for the opportunity to serve and also witness this day. May God continue to make NIS better than we left it, Ameen.
