I built a Gameboy with Svelte using HTML, CSS, Javascript 🎮
There’s a few details I’d like to share….
RATED M FOR MATURE
It’s not unusual for a friendly match of table tennis to get a little competitive!
Check out the return of Table Tennis in #NintendoSwitchSportsResort when it arrives Oct 22 only on Nintendo Switch 2!

If I had to name this, I would call it work life balance
Vibe coding gives me less friction to create, and so I find myself abandoning projects much faster than before AI. It feels like a waste of time to not use AI, but also I’m wasting all my time using AI. Eventually I’ll figure this out for myself, but for now it’s a weird paradox.

New updates for Wealthfront Home Lending:
1️⃣ Expanded Access in Colorado
After our initial early access period, Wealthfront Home Lending is now available to all clients in Colorado. Residents who aren't yet Wealthfront clients can access these rates by opening a Cash Account or Stock Investing Account for as little as $1.
We’re also soon rolling out general access in California and Texas – if you’re in either of those states you can sign up for the waitlist and we’ll let you know when access is available. Sign up here: wealthfront.com/home-lending…
2️⃣Rate Transparency
We just launched a new mortgage rate calculator that provides personalized rate estimates and projected monthly payments for new purchases and refinancing. Currently available for properties in CA, TX, and CO, we designed it to provide transparency into potential rates without requiring a full application or sales call (imagine that, right?).

Understanding how to code and then choosing to vibe code anyway is definitely the greatest. But one thing that is tough is how much direction do I give? Do I really know problem X and the arch for it better than AI?
Vibe coding a godot game (very minimal architecture direction). Got pretty far until the game just started freezing randomly on level creation. Agent couldn’t solve the issue. I had to actually get into the debugger and resolve myself!
So I did, found the infinite loop. Then…
People love to pretend that all games share a common set of underlying technologies. Every game has different priorities, timelines, etc. Nothing will ever be “forever solved” across all games

Will local models ever be good enough when they will always seem like idiots compared to online models?
At that really fun part of a project where everything is working and I haven’t needed to peek into the mess my LLMs have made
Playing Mario Galaxy the other day, every single level of this game (and that levels unique mechanic) could be expanded to a full indie game.
I need my x algo to completely remove any vague posting. I HATE these posts! I don’t even care about the subject but I have to dig in to find out that I don’t care! It makes this app suck

Hot take: the people currently in their 20’s with Wealthfront accounts will be wealthier in their 40’s than the people currently in their 20’s with RobinHood accounts. 🤞
I’ve updated my Gameboy app to Svelte 5! It was… trickier than expected. Click in to read the details....
(Svelte 4 code on the left, Svelte 5 code on the right)
Final Thoughts: I love Svelte 3/4, but it could feel broken in nonintuitive ways. Svelte 5 is feeling imperfect, but somewhat more explicitly. Like yes, I need to type more, but I expect I’ll be able to spot broken code faster in the Svelte 5 once I’m more used to it.
If you want to see more neat web dev / game dev posts, you could follow me. If you’d like to read all the old / new code, here are the repos:

What do y'all of Svelte 5 so far?
