Exhausted yet? 😵💫 Pastors, how are you handling this kind of pressure? Share us your thoughts 👇
Really enjoyed talking to @MikeCosper about The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill
If you listened to The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill, here is the follow-up interview you need to check out podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
Retweeting this cuz it's theoretically possible there's 1 person following me but not @cbradedwards or @MichaelRWear.
Wow. @bahales and I just finished an hour-long conversation with the amazing @MichaelRWear, and we covered some SERIOUS ground: #Afghanistan, political sectarianism, & why we look to politics to get our spiritual needs met.

Great conversation with my friends @cbradedwards and @bahales. There’s at least a brief convo in here about “the myths the make us”—which I plan to elaborate on soon.
Been looking forward to dropping this one since recording it: @brandonjobrien is the Director of Content at @RedeemerCTC, author of multiple books, & insightful
thinker re: how cultural narratives shape our understanding of both truth and each other...

We now live in a time when consumer Christianity has become the accepted norm, & all-out engagement with & in Jesus’ kingdom...is regarded as somewhat “overdoing it.” By contrast, the biblical pattern is...“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only. — Dallas Willard
.@BarnaGroup this is irresponsible. You know better than most that information transfer does not equal formation.
This statistic could just as easily read “fully 1 in 3 Christians disagree that online sermons deliver as much spiritual benefit as in person sermons.”
But even that statement understates the detrimental impact of virtual church. As @BarnaGroup previously reported, 1/3 of Christians have stopped going to church (online or in person) in the last year!

I love this conversation I had on deconstruction with @cbradedwards, @confessinmill, and @BrookesJones8.

PASTORS IN A PANDEMIC
{A thread}
Everyone has had a truly difficult year and the past 12 months have been brutal, refining and unpredictable. From my perspective, I’ve seen how it’s affected pastors emotionally, mentally and professionally.
“Don’t be so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging
Thank you sir!
My guys @cbradedwards and @bahales have done it again. This episode is seriously worth a listen. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
“You need to know that your being in the world is a witness. It testifies. There is no mitigating this fact. All we can do is decide what our existence is a witness to and how we can share the burden of witnessing.” — @TheAlanNoble link.medium.com/HAAsVOB2keb
Am I the only person who though of @DavidAFrench
when @TheAmandaGorman quoted Micah 4:4?

Jeremiah Johnson prophesied Trump would win in 2020, got it wrong, and apologized -- noting that Trump was prideful and the church wrongly put Trump on a pedestal. Look at this message. This is what happened. The sickness is in the church real and widespread. I've seen this also:
