Put a few lambs together for the local show, would have liked the time to go though a few more mobs, harvest and shearing at the same time😅 plus supplying the sheep for quick shear🤦♂️
Great read @GordonRefshauge
Our Scanned dry, wet n dried, and classed out ewes go to one of our properties and are joined to a terminal. We haven’t marked under 145% there in last 5 years.
Lots of work to be done with Merino maternal behaviour, mixed aged merino ewes heading for the hills, meanwhile Primeline ewe lambs unfazed
Just been to Ouyen Vic and back to pickup a tractor. Aside from the Hay plain it’s one big wheat paddock the whole way.🧐Hard to think there will ever be a sheep over supply again!
The 9 and 12 yo up and horses loaded at 6:30 ready for pony club🥱, if only they had their car license😂
Is anyone having success with these, as far as I’m concerned they are an absolute prick of a thing, tried half a dozen of them, tags jam up in them all🤯
Just got a quote on this years Sheep EID tags $33,800😏, couple of years ago it was about $5000 odd.
I’m not sure where this bullshit is going to end but it’s out of control 🤬
I see VIC still has a subsidy on tags, their farmer lobbyist groups have done well considering VIC is broke!
