The literal definition of a snitch.
Anyone that says this isn't snitching should be brought out into the Gulf of Maine and go "fishing". Thats facts. Birds of a feather always flock together. Take that to the bank.

Apparently in Harris County, driving drunk with a .14 BAC and a gun in your vehicle can get your charges dismissed by Monday, provided you’re well-connected enough to get the DA’s chief of staff @LaurenByrne03 involved on a Sunday night. 🙄
The diversion program reportedly has a .12 BAC limit, but apparently exceptions can be made. How convenient.
As a crime victim advocate who has lost a loved one to a drunk driver, I find this especially disturbing. Drunk driving doesn’t suddenly become less dangerous because nobody was killed THIS time.
I’m not against second chances. I’m against a justice system where the rules appear to depend on WHO you are rather than WHAT you did.
So here’s my question: Would the average Harris County resident with a .14 BAC and a weapons charge get this same VIP treatment?
Because the families burying loved ones killed by drunk drivers don’t get special exceptions or second chances.
And @RafaelHCDAO , nobody asked whether your prosecutors work weekends. It was asked why the DA’s chief of staff was personally approving a well-connected defense attorney for a diversion program he reportedly didn’t even qualify for. Those are two VERY different questions.
“Lauren Byrne, chief of staff to Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare, became involved that Sunday. On the district attorney office case management portal, Byrne removed the case from the misdemeanor division around 9:30 p.m. and assigned it to Cheryl Chapell, Chief of the Mental Health and Diversions Bureau.”

SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS GROCERY EXECUTIVES, BUT I’M DONE.
I just pulled a $4.99 box of cereal off the shelf, brought it to the register, and watched the scanner ring it up as $7.49.
When I told the cashier, she said: "Oh, that’s the digital coupon price. You have to download our store app, create an account, search for the item, and clip the digital coupon before scanning."
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
You inflated the shelf price by 50%, locked the normal price behind an app, and forced me to hand over my personal phone data and email just to pay the actual retail value of a box of food?
Stop hiding basic shelf pricing behind data-harvesting apps.
Check this man's laptop @FBI!
I am a husband, father, and lifelong Texan. I’ve been a Christian since I was 5 and a pastor since I was 19.
And I just proudly voted for James Talarico, Gina Hinojosa, Jon Rosenthal, and Vikki Goodwin.
While it’s true that Ken Paxton is as corrupt and morally bankrupt as they come, Greg Abbott has decimated our public schools, Dan Patrick is bought and paid for by right-wing billionaires, and Bo French wears his racism on his sleeve, I didn’t just vote AGAINST candidates I know will do a bad job. I had the privilege of voting FOR candidates who will do a great job!
I originally connected with Jimmy Talarico many years ago (long before he got famous) and we became friends shortly after. He’s the exact same guy in private as he is in public—kindhearted, whip smart, hardworking, and very serious about following Jesus’ call to care for all people, especially the most vulnerable. That’s who he’s been in ministry, in the Texas Legislature, and I have no doubt that’s who he’ll be as a United States Senator too.
I’ve also gotten to speak with Gina Hinojosa, Jon Rosenthal, and Vikki Goodwin this year. I believe they will fight for two things that are very important to my family and so many people in our church community:
1. An economy where every Texan can afford to have their basic needs met.
2. Fully funded public schools where all children can thrive.
I’m not telling you who to vote for; I’m just telling you who I chose to vote for and why.
We are in a critical moment in both the United States and Texas, so I hope you vote. And if you are a follower of Jesus, I hope you see your vote as a way to prioritize the way of Jesus—sacrificial love of neighbor and justice for those who have been marginalized.

Someone please ask Abbie Kamin... Exactly how is James t Talarico "holding corrupt politicians accountable?"
Seriously. He's not the Attorney General. He's not with the DOJ or US Attorney office.
I would ask her myself, but she blocked me two days after she was reelected to city council.

This morning at 9: a press conference with others involved in the 4-car crash last month for which Harris County Treasurer Carla Wyatt was cited.
They are expected to reveal new details about the accident.
Since taking office, Wyatt has had two DWI's and one burglary charge, the latter dismissed.

It seems like every day we are told by politicians that Social Security is becoming insolvent
These same politicians sent hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine to fund their retirement system
Had enough yet?
If you win big, they'll just change the rules.and the legal system will side with them.
You guys think this is still a good idea.😔
A man bet $325 on a golf tournament and believed he had turned it into $14.2 MILLION. DraftKings voided all five bets and refunded his money. He sued, arguing the sportsbook changed the rules after accepting his wagers.
– Nicholas Bavas, 37, from Dallas County, Iowa, spotted an opportunity during the 2024 Pebble Beach Pro-Am as bad weather threatened to cut the tournament short.
– On February 3, he placed five bets predicting how the golfers would finish.
– The bets were worth a combined $325, with potential payouts totaling $14.2 MILLION.
– DraftKings was still accepting wagers even as the weather threatened the final round.
– Bavas bet on the positions of golfers who were leading after the third round.
– The tournament was eventually called after 54 holes, making those standings the official results.
– According to Bavas and his lawyers, all five bets matched the final standings.
– But DraftKings voided them and returned his stakes instead of paying the potential winnings.
– This won't happen with prediction markets.
– On a prediction market, traders take positions against other participants, with payouts determined by the market's contract rules and resolution process.
– You're not relying on a traditional sportsbook to honor a winning bet under its house rules.
– Bavas argued that DraftKings' rules at the time didn't allow the company to void his particular type of multi-player parlay.
– His lawyers also argued that DraftKings changed its rules after the tournament to address similar situations.
– DraftKings disputed his claim, arguing that its house rules allowed it to void wagers under these circumstances.
– Bavas sued in 2025, seeking the $14.2 MILLION he believed he was owed.
– But the case didn't end in his favor. In July 2026, the court ruled for DraftKings, rejecting his bid to recover the money.
He risked $325 chasing $14.2 MILLION. The tournament ended early, his picks lined up with the final standings, and he took the fight to court. In the end, DraftKings won the legal battle, and Bavas walked away without the millions he was chasing.
