Larry was the epitome of a baseball fan who made a career out of his love for the game. He was always a welcoming presence, he made me feel like I belonged, and he always wanted to talk about Canadian players, the minor leagues, and the amateur side of the game. 💔
The Toronto Blue Jays are deeply saddened by the passing of Larry Millson, one of Canada's most respected baseball writers.
For more than 30 years as a Blue Jays beat writer, Larry chronicled many of the most memorable moments in franchise history with insight, professionalism, and an enduring passion for the game.
Even after stepping away from full-time beat coverage, Larry remained a familiar and welcome presence in the Rogers Centre press box, continuing to share his love of baseball through his writing, his stories, and the friendships he built throughout the game.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Larry's family, friends, and former colleagues. His contributions to baseball journalism and the Canadian baseball community will be remembered.

Here’s the essay Jason Collins wrote about his battle with glioblastoma back in December. espn.com/nba/story/_/id/4726…
Agree with all of this.
I love to say that Allan was crazy to think he could cover all aspects of baseball that hadn't been covered from his garage.
And amazingly he pulled it off!
Terrific news! All of the prospect coverage we enjoy today pretty much grew from Allan founding @BaseballAmerica in his garage 45 years ago. I've never met anyone who loves every aspect of baseball as much as Allan, and I owe my career to him. Very happy for him!
It is incredibly nerve-wracking to know that this game is definitely going to end with a “wow” sentiment but not knowing if it’s going to be like a good wow or a not-so-good wow. #WorldSeries
The wow sentiment is not reserved only for the end of this game. #WorldSeriee

Bases loaded, tie game, bottom of the ninth, Game 7 of the World Series.
I mean come on.
Okay, here we are. #BlueJays #WorldSeries
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went through this scouting report with me six years ago, grading his own present and future tools, and his 80 grades in basically everything seemed optimistic, but now here we are. #BlueJays #WorldSeries
The one true advantage of watching baseball at home instead of at the ballpark is seeing replays and slow-motion replays of pitcher reactions to well-hit balls by the opposition. #WorldSeries

Ernie Clement ⤵️
- Fourth-round pick
- Never ranked higher than 18th in the Guardians system
- DFA’d twice
He just set a postseason record for hits 😳

At this moment, I would prefer he have less success, but also Kiké Hernández has a lot of really impressive tennis necklaces. #WorldSeries
At Spring Training 2020, I asked Alejandro Kirk for authentic Mexican restaurant recommendations. He gave me names & one night I arrived at a grocery store with a small restaurant hidden in back. The food was delicious & while I was eating, Kirk showed up for his own dinner.
