Best seen the guards play defensively but they are going to have to improve a lot over next 6 weeks. Just hard to replace last year’s backcourt.

Coaches: It’s malpractice if you are not continuing looking for plays in the off-season to help your team win games. Here’s a good one from the @Raptors.

One of the best ways to score or creating scoring opportunities is to basket cut. Coach loved a great cutter!
Rick Majerus on cuts:
1-Never make a cut you don’t intend to score on.
2-Call out your cut.
3-Show a hand target, so the ball can find you.
4-Slow down in the scoring area.
5-Complete the cut to the front of the rim.
6-Relocate behind the arc.

This might be the best possession of the season. Great scrambling defense but even better ball movement 😍

Do you think the concepts of "floor-raising" and "ceiling-raiser" apply to coaching? Are good ceiling raising coaches the ones who can deal with stars? Is Stan Van Gundy or Mark Jackson a floor raising coach?

After spending the last 3 seasons working as a video/scouting/analytics staffer for CBB teams, I’m excited to be launching a YouTube channel and podcast on Monday for this season. The idea is to cover teams, games, and opponents in the same amount of detail as at NMSU and Nevada

For this week's issue of @NewYorker, I wrote about visiting Paisley Park, Prince's compound in Minnesota. Lotta thoughts about memory/memorials, pilgrimage, mourning, work, celebrity, America: newyorker.com/magazine/2018/…

I recall 2015 Duke having that February slump. Really young team again. But so much talent. They are good.
