🇺🇸 An early US Army Machine Gun Squad (1914). Before the US entered WW1, the Infantry Regiment’s machine guns were all contained within a Provisional Machine Gun Company. At war strength it had 4 squads (2 platoons) each serving a M1909 Benét–Mercié strip-fed machine gun.

Formerly operated by 2CR, the M1296 ICV-D and M1126 ICV-J Strykers have been transferred to Greece under the US-Greece defense pact announced in October. Oddly, they retain their unit designations. Greece is now the first foreign M1296 user. Could 80+ M10 Bookers follow suit?
A very noteworthy development. The 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Germany has officially transitioned to the new M1304 ICVVA1-30mm vehicles, replacing the M1296 ICV-D. The Dragoon fleet based on the Stryker FBH likely won't be retained and may be resold via FMS.

The War Department of 1942 would look at this and call its unit Coast Artillery Battalion, Gun or Automatic Weapons, Antiaircraft, Immobile

🇫🇷 The 1967 French Mechanized Infantry Squad. Interesting points were either-or use of the LRAC rocket launcher or AA52 GPMG (LRAC by default) & organic sniper rifle in 2 of 3 squads. However, they hadn't added a dedicated vehicle gunner yet. Thanks to @rac112apilas for sources

This probably won't be the final version of this as my vision for it becomes more concrete, however here is the full organization of my interpritation of the Commonwealth Minutemen.

Concept for a modest Minuteman power armor unit after the events of Fallout 4, assuming everything goes hunky dory for them and they blow up the Brotherhood of Steel's blimp. Basically a QRF of regulars operating from Fort Independence acting in a tank-like role

🇺🇸 The U.S. Marine Parachute Rifle Squad after a T/O update in February 1943. Following combat experience in 1942, a new 1st Marine Parachute Regiment was created in April 1943. 2d Para Bn used the M1941 Johnson Rifle, while 1st/3d Para Bn used M1 Garands. All used Johnson LMGs

FICTION | My take on a higher tier NCR infantry squad, perhaps part of the strategic reserves that are brought in for the Second Battle of Hoover Dam at the end of Fallout: New Vegas. Also a reimagined, more setting-appropriate take on the Assault and Marksman Carbines

A closer look at my interpretation of the Assault/Marksman Carbines. I just didn't think that quad rails, GWOT-era collapsible stocks, and ACOGs were right for the Fallout setting.

Ukrainian Kish (= Corps), February 1919 - TO&E drawing. Unusual organization, created during Ukrainian war for independence to reduce support elements and increase "tooth to tail" ratio. For more details see here: vijsko.blogspot.com/2026/10/… #ORBATboys

Custom color picker implemented. Maybe #ORBATboys wants me to add a @battle_order color palette…
