📢 Cork City Council is delighted to present the Part 8 Planning proposals for the North Docks Public Realm & Transport Infrastructure Project, a key initiative that will further drive the ongoing redevelopment momentum in the area. 🚶 The proposed works will deliver a dynamic and inviting south-facing waterfront space. Flanked by two new urban parks, featuring extensive landscaping and a range of additional amenities, creating a vibrant environment for all to enjoy. The scheme will also redefine the eastern gateway to the city centre via a new road corridor with significantly improved pedestrian and cycling facilities throughout. 📅 The public consultation is open until Wednesday 6th August 2025. 📢 Have your say on the Proposed Variation No. 2 (Cork Docklands) to the Cork City Development Plan📢 Cork City Council and the Cork Docklands Delivery Office have published a proposed framework plan to guide the growth and development of the Cork Docklands. 👷🏼‍♂️ The Framework Plan, which will form a new volume of the CDP if adopted, sets out the expansive public realm, waterside amenity and travel, sports and community infrastructure needed to unlock the development capacity of the Docklands. 🌍 To accommodate the draft Framework Plan, a variation to the City Development Plan is proposed (Variation No.2). A four-week period of public consultation on the proposed variation is now open.
