There’s going to be lots of opinions about the pros and cons of the tariff decision. Here’s one thing we would all benefit from: it’s time for Congress to learn how to legislate again without every single administrative act turning into a partisan fight.

Impeach and remove Kristi Noem.
Congress must not fund DHS.
No more money without disciplined leadership and massive reforms—real training, body cameras, no masks—and clear rules for how federal agent misconduct will be investigated, prosecuted, and punished.

Free Press subscribers weren’t shocked by the election results.
That’s not because we told them what to think. It’s because we did the basic job of journalism: We held up a mirror to reality. thefp.pub/40ACyiD

Between voting for Wormwood or Screwtape, choose neither.

It's clear that Trump does not meet the moral standards we'd prefer. But the Democrats are channeling demons here. This should still be an easy choice for Christians. Vote against the demons.

Take 3 minutes and listen to Zachary Levi speak about how Kamala Harris voters are not the enemy:
“Within my industry, as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very liberal town, and this (endorsing Trump) very well could constitute career suicide.”
“We are being inundated every single day with poison, not just in the foods that we're eating and not just in the pharmaceuticals that are being shoved down our throats, in the images that we are looking at, and the audio that we are hearing through our media we are being poisoned and lied to.”
“Recognize that all of the people on the other side that still believe that Kamala is the answer are being lied to. They are not the enemy. They are not evil. There is evil at the top of that food chain, but the American people that believe that Kamala is the way they are not evil people.”
“So to the best that we can do, may we practice grace. May we practice forgiveness. May we practice patience so that as we go to the polls, as we talk to our friends and our family and we encourage people to go and look, do not be baited into their attacks.”

Forty-three percent of U.S. adults identify as Independent. So don’t you think that there should be an Independent presidential candidate on the debate stage?

Think Assembly code is useless to learn?
Age of Empires I+II used ~13,000 lines of x86 32-bit assembly code.
"The use of assembly in the drawing core resulting in a ~10x sprite drawing speed improvement over the C++ reference implementations, and AoE's drawing core was notably faster than competitors like StarCraft"
- Matt Pritchard, Lead Developer of AoE I+II
Compilers of that area did not take advantage of things like the cache architecture and UV pipes of the first Pentium processors, so they had to be hand written in assembly.
Another speedup came via hand-managing register usage carefully, to avoid "register starvation", which was even a problem with C++

Happy #Trogday everybody! For Trogdor's 20th birthday, I dug up a 30 year old promo for an unreleased Peasant's Quest game somehow!

Key questions directly affecting the public health -- are cloth masks effective? do the harms of lockdowns outweigh the benefits? should schools be closed? is it moral to mandate vaccines? do vaccines stop transmission? -- were suppressed, acceptance of official decrees required.

Twitter suppressed true information from doctors and public-health experts that was at odds with U.S. government policy.
This is a story, by @davidzweig, that impacted every American...whether or not they have ever logged onto Twitter.

“What might this pandemic and its aftermath have looked like if there had been a more open debate about the origins of Covid, about lockdowns, about the true risks of Covid in kids, and much more?”

This is so important because
1) The Biden admin thinks Twitter is real life
2) The Biden admin actually didn't know what the truth was on Covid
3) Twitter staff didn't know what the truth was on Covid
4) The truth was consistently labeled false

What do I mean by "Game of Thrones Christianity"? It's the New Right's vision of politics as a war in which you win or you die:
