September #inflation report is frustratingly sticky. Relief on the food and energy front almost entirely offset by accelerating core prices. It increasingly seems that transitory is spelled "PERSISTENT." Fed to hike by 75bp on November 2. #CPI

US economy added 263k #jobs in September, right in line with expectations. Total employment now back to pre-pandemic levels, as is the unemployment rate. The #jobs recovery is over, and it will get harder and harder to improve from here.
