Amazing work by @ChowWaixu and team to build a lexicon for complementary and integrative health approaches. So often, the vocab around CIH is inconsistent and misused. So many great potential informatics and clinical applications of this work!

This is a great thread on LBP labels, packed with refs.
We looked at MSK diagnoses in the VA and also found non-specific diagnoses were by far most common and consistent across Primary and Specialty care. We suspected all these reasons as drivers

Nothing says new EHRs are being designed and built for billing and not patient care/research more than all the core SQL table names now referring to “charges” and “cost” rather than “patients” and “encounters” 🤦🏻♂️ #informatics #patientcenteredcare
Exciting day mentoring at the first @YaleBiotechClub Datathon event, featuring @CodeOceanHQ and @boehringerus. Lots of brainpower from our participants in this room!
