We don't need a State owned pipeline in an attempt to Nationalize our resource industry.

Canadian heavy crude is fetching near-record premiums across the Pacific, bolstering the case for the countryβs plan to build a new pipeline to its west coast.
A barrel of Canadian Cold Lake crude delivered to South Korea traded at a record $9.50 a barrel more than the Dubai crude benchmark in September.
Itβs a stark contrast to the weakening price Canadian oil is getting in the US, its biggest market. Oil sands benchmark Western Canadian Selectβs discount, called a differential, to a monthly average of West Texas Intermediate futures widened to as much as $28.25 a barrel in Alberta last week, the biggest in almost four years.

I would like to offer some clarity on my previous post on the Toronto mayoral election.
I should not have used the term immigrants, my sincerest apologies.
Many immigrants come to Canada to build a better life, work for it and are grateful to Canada for the opportunity and make us a better country. Like my Grandparents who escaped 1930βs Hungary and scratched a meagre existence out of the Saskatchewan dirt with not a complaint or handout.
I should have used the term gimmigrant which includesβ¦.
Terrorists, activists, fake refugees, asylum seekers, leeches, fraudsters, criminals, radicals and free loaders.

Iβve always wondered why wealthy First Nations bands who own casinos, gas stations, smoke shops, mineral rights, pipelines or other tax-free businesses are not mandated to share some profits with less fortunate bands since most of the businesses are started with government money.

@MarkJCarney is investing over $12B in First Nations communities, targeting critical infrastructure on reserves:
- $3.5B for education
- $4B for affordable housing
- $4.5B for clean water & wastewater systems

I agree Wab with one caveat.
Every FN in Canada gets a forensic public audit.
Abolish the Indian Act. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
We will, of course, need new legislation that is an interface between the Federal government and First Nations. And this MUST be created alongside Chiefs and First Nation governments every step of the way. But it is time to move past the era of this outdated, racist, and patriarchal legislation.
I support Prime Minister Carneyβs work to position Canada as a global leader in human rights and democracy. The Indian Act is inconsistent with achieving that vision.
Our laws at home should reflect the values we champion around the world.
Itβs time for a relationship with First Nations people that reflects who we are as Canadians today, recognizes nationhood, and lives up to the true nature of reconciliation.
