🗣️ “It doesn’t have to be ‘She did it first now it’s over.’ It can be ‘She did it first, I’m gonna do it better.’” When Jessica Schilder opened her outdoor season a 21.09m effort in Keqiao in May — the first 21m throw since 2012 — it was a bit of a gut punch to Chase Jackson, as she had been knocking on the door of that elusive barrier for months. But that frustration turned into motivation for Jackson, and she successfully knocked out her three targets by the end of the season: ✅ Throw 21m - 21.02m on Aug. 30 at ISTAF Berlin ✅ Throw farther than Schilder - 21.14m on Sep. 4 at the Brussels Diamond League Final ✅ Throw 21m more than once Jackson sat down on The Paulie Throws Podcast this week to talk through her historic 2026 season, giving insights on the midseason weight room change that powered her to legendary distances and what her potential looks like in the years ahead. 🎙️ Find the full interview by searching for “The Paulie Throws Podcast” on YouTube, Spotify or Apple Podcasts, or head to the links down below ⬇️

I would give anything to see 40-year-old Julius Yego on the runway in Nairobi at Worlds in 2029. 14 years after Beijing, one last ride for the (I think?) greatest field eventer in Kenyan history.
