This pleases me greatly.
‘OPPENHEIMER’ has passed ‘INCEPTION’ domestically. It is now Christopher Nolan’s biggest non-Batman movie.

I cannot believe Bob Barker lived as close to 100 as possible without going over.

Happy #NationalDog Day! Celebrate with us by checking out these presidential furry friends through the years. Here, First Lady Grace Coolidge is captured with one of her dogs, Prudence Prim, at a garden party. (1926) Image: @LibraryCongress

"There is no big national conversation about ...why Americans are forced to live with a risk of car crash death roughly 3x higher than Canadians and Australians, 5x higher than Brits and Germans, and 9x higher than Norwegians." @mbolotnikova is right. vox.com/future-perfect/2023/…

thinking of this again after reading the new work magazine profile of ayo, rachel and emma, where they openly talk about babysitting and working in restaurants and shit, and ayo talks about not reading bottoms at first bc she didn't want to take time off her job bc she was broke
the difference when ur reading interviews with actors who come from a privileged background versus a more working class background is actually so interesting

Fun fact: in France, Netflix already reports their viewership to writers monthly and pays writers based on that viewership, because it’s the law there. They literally already have this system in place.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos is reportedly concerned that if they give a fair deal to writers & actors in the U.S. that it will set a precedent for writers/actors in other territories to ask for fair deals. (Source: allyourscreens.com/en/compon…)

This. Precisely this. Imagine treating a friend who once needed help like this in perpetuity. Great reporting as always @jsidman. washingtonian.com/2023/08/24…
