three weeks we didn't touch the model. instead we rewrote the entire data pipeline
one dev built a logger that records every pool check with a timestamp, the reason if price is unavailable, and the actual fee. not approximate. actual
another rewrote the training system. memory now updates only from runs with full descriptions. every step reproducible. random overnight tests? thrown out
the third set up validation on a separate holdout the model has never seen. every memory update goes through it before reaching prod
three people. three weeks. result: returns went up 3x
