Year 6 @beech_green enjoyed some maths problem solving yesterday. Lots of systematic thinking to find many possible solutions for our problem 👏🏻
Thank you so much to @Harding_Hilston for making our Year 6 residential to @HilstonPark so memorable. Big fears conquered, new friendships forged, memories made… and a few snacks eaten 😊. The children of Beech Green have had a blast!

Doing some balloon #science this week: blowing them up with chemicals & farting fungus, then creating sticky static electricity! 🌩 Today it was the turn of @beech_green KS1, in #Gloucester.

It’s vital that we continue to have conversations around safe internet use, both at school and at home. Lots of thought provoking talk in year 6 this week.
Thank you from year 6 @beech_green to PC Kim Murphy from @SchoolBeat for the brilliant session on internet safety this afternoon. We learnt so much. I hope all the children are checking their settings this evening!

Thank you to Jason, @UKArmyLogistics veteran for coming to talk to our year 6 children @beech_green about the work of the modern army and the importance of remembrance.
Pupils today paid their respects in different ways: some took part in a service at @StChatter1, others in a service @tesco in Quedgeley. Some Y6 children wrote poems and learned more about the war @7valeschool, whereas others observed the silence at school. But we all remembered.

Year 2 were delighted to have this very special visitor today. Thank you Willow (and Mum) introducing us all to Midnight the barn owl - we can’t wait to see him in September with all his feathers.

@beech_green Daphne, the juvenile Herring gull, taking a little mini break in the junior courtyard. She's had food and water, so hopefully she'll fly back home in the evening cool later.
A fantastic end to Year 6’s week with a trip to Fairford @airtattoo - we hope that the children have made some fantastic memories to take with them to their new secondary schools.
@beech_green Year 6 are having a wonderful time @airtattoo . We’ve just seen these fantastic pilots in action right above our heads!
Thursday of our Not-A-Residential-week for year 6 was full of swimming followed by climbing and caving @WarehouseClimb - lots of fear-conquering happening today!
