Today, October 20, 2026, is officially "Wyatt Anderson Day" in Louisville.
Last year, Wyatt, a St. Xavier High School senior, was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. After months of grueling physical therapy and determination, Wyatt finished the Chicago Marathon on October 11, alongside his brother. Wyatt is a true inspiration to his city.

On this day, 16 October 1978, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła was elected Pope, taking the name John Paul II. He became the first non-Italian Pope in 455 years. His historic pontificate would inspire millions through his courage, deep Marian devotion, love for young people, and unwavering proclamation: “Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors for Christ!”

Parolin is worried, and he doesn't hide it. Hours later, his words from today still stand out. First the visit to the Gemelli, with a reassuring "I found him well." Then, on the sidelines of an event at the Iraqi embassy, the line that carries weight: "No predictions can be made. If necessary, the Pope will reshape his pontificate." Coming from the Vatican's number two, that's no small thing. For the first time, a pontificate that may change pace is being discussed openly. #LeoXIV
